Absolutely beautiful views of the mountains and fields. The most comfortable beds and pillows throughout our whole trip! Very friendly staff. Independent restaurant with no set menu, but wonderful food.

Well, to start with the only disappointing thing about this stay was that the oven had broken and they couldnt do an evening meal .... but we were notified of this on our drive there so could make other arrangements Its a series of chalets with wonderfull views. The chalets are warm, clean and comfortable and have a seating area...

Rooms were cozy and gave to a beautiful view. You have access to the river behind the guesthouse site. If you're looking for a place to dine, eat there!! The food was amazing. Had horse steak and lamb

Stayed at the guesthouse for one night during our travels throughout Iceland. This is by far on of the most amazing accommodation that I have had the privilege of staying in. Their are only about 12 or so rooms on this property. They are on top of a bluff over looking a Fiord that leads out to the sea. Standing...

We had the lovely opportunity in residing in the guesthouse a few steps away from the reception and I have to say it was the best hotel/guesthouse experience I have ever had. The shear enjoyment of having room that close to nature is just wonderful. Furthermore room ammenities were ok (nothing special but literally did not require to be) but...

We were booked in to the guesthouse but our room was actually in the main farmhouse, a few hundred metres (a drive) away from the rest of the purpose-built rooms and the restaurant. It was all wood and very atmospheric and cosy. The breakfast at the restaurant in the main guesthouse area was the best we had anywhere in Iceland....

We had a fantastic stay at Guesthouse Hofsstadir. Our host was excellent. He thought of every detail. He knew how to look after guests. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Our view over the surrounding countryside was beautiful. Breakfast was generous! I highly recommend staying here.

This guesthouse was absolutely spectacular. The man who owned it was wonderfully nice, welcoming and friendly. Every touch in the guesthouse was stunning and carefully planned. The views were unlike anything I've ever seen and the peace and quiet was just perfect. I have to make a special note about the food: it was outstanding. It was our favorite meal...

At first we didn't quite know if we will enjoy staying at a farm setting but we were pleasantly surprised......we loved this place. It's in the middle of nowhere but the views were so beautiful, serene and expansive. The guesthouse is family owned and most, if not all of them, worked at the quest house and the restaurant. We stayed...

Absolutely the nicest, cleanest, quietest inn with beautiful blending of nature and Icelandic clean design and quality. We stayed in cluster of rooms the furthest from the main inn, which appeared newer. We had a private deck surrounded by tall grasses creating a private world to view the breath taking sunset and view of the river. Totally a great place...
