Do not book here....Several months ago we reserved this guesthouse. On the due day we arrived at 5pm just as it was getting dusk, only to be met by a brusque woman who informed us that she was full; that she had let our room and so she was sending us to another "guesthouse", although indeed there were no signs...

A warm stay in the summer house from Siggi, were the kitchen is the meeting place with other travellers. Breakfast with pancakes was nice The room was also nice and the wifi connection was good. The owner wanted to let you feel like home. The hot tub was also relax after a traveling day. (The hot tub was not very...

Skogar as a location is great for a couple of nights. We had our hands full exploring near by Seljalandsfoss, Seljavallalaug pool, Skogafoss, DC3-plane crash site and also Vik with Durholaey and Reynisfjara's black sand beach. This guesthouse is OK and works just fine when all you need is a place to sleep. We didn't have any trouble with it....

Fantastic location, nice house, great amenities (laundry, etc). Siggy really does want you to feel at HOME - and this is fantastic. But I just couldn't get over the dirty, moldy showers and, well, unfortunately the owner had very poor personal hygiene and the I was not able to spend much time near her (like in the kitchen) because of...

This is a warm and inviting place to call home in the tiny hamlet of Skogar, just steps away from Skogafoss and the mind-blowing hiking trails above it. Keep in mind that this is a guesthouse: you will be sharing the home with a number of other travelers. If you are looking for a fun, convivial atmosphere to meet other...

Siggy and her husband are very warm personalities, you feel safe with them... The house is more a home that a guesthouse. You can sit outside on the terrace, in the living room, have a chat with them in the kitchen, do your laundry. The kitchen is ultra-equipped if you like to cook your own meal (which we did), or...

Skogar Guesthouse used to be Sigga's (the owner and her family's matriarch) summer home. The place is beautiful, tastefully decorated, and extremely well-landscaped. Feels more like a home than a bed and breakfast. Decks wrap around the entire house. There's a jacuzzi, a cottage in the back, a huge backyard patio with plenty of great deck furniture. Our room was...

The owner is lovely as are the staff that assist her. She works hard up update the property, however it is not as well maintained. Bathrooms could use an extra scrub. The bed was comfortable and they were responsive to our requests (extra pillows). There is a fly problem in the kitchen.
