I notice Ursula gets a good rating from most visitors to her home and this is very understandable. The home is welcoming - so neat and well set out but still well equipped for those of us liking to slouch about. Ursula's cooking will be most appreciated and my wife was very taken with her omelette with its several fillings....

Thanks a mill Robin for the lovely review, it's always encouraging to hear that we are providing a good service in a relaxed atmosphere. The omelette is becoming a popular choice lately, it's very filling and the healthier option! It was lovely to have you stay with us even if it was only for the one night, hopefully you will...

Proprietors Ursula and her husband Noel over the years have become sort of family, the welcome you receive at their place is ... well ... "this is like home". The rooms are excellently finished, wonderful beds, in-room coffee/tea-maker, each room has an individual shower and toilet, cable tv, free wifi, a key of the front door. The place is extremely...

Well thanks a million Ward, it was a pleasure to see you and your beautiful daughter that has turned into a fine young lady, again after so many years. That is a brilliant comprehensive Review and we are still striving to give our guests a memorable personal experience. You might say we in Mountshannon are off the beaten path but...

I would recommend this B&B for anyone staying in Mountshannon. We met Ursula when we arrived and she made us feel very welcome. We had a double room which was clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was also spotless with a great power shower. Ursula even supplied us with Hi-Vis jackets for our walk home from the town which is...

Thanks very much for your lovely review, it was great to meet you both. I didn't mind driving you to the pub as it can be daunting for people to walk a road they haven't travelled before especially in the dark! As my season has just started it's great to have such positive comments and thanks for taking the time...

Sincere thanks for your high praise in the review. We were delighted to have met you and enjoyed our chats together - it's what makes doing B & B interesting for us and I know it's of benefit to our visitors too as they learn more about the pleasures of exploring East Clare. We hope we meet again in the...

Traveling with no reservations can be a nightmare, Ursula and Joel took us in just at dusk after we had traveled all day. They handed us a key and bade us welcome, then had to run out to a community meeting about a bird that was nesting nearby for the first time in like 100 years. Later when they returned...

Thanks so much for your review - May seems so long ago I'm delighted to thought enough of us to put up a lovely review. Our poor resident White Tailed Sea Eagles didn't produce a chick this year for the first time in years so we are hoping that 2017 will be more fruitful for them! Noel loves the farming...

We stayed for 3 nights visiting a friend close by. It was a lovely BnB hosted by Ursula. Could not ask for a better location or host and would definitely stay again if in the area. We had a nice welcome despite arriving late, excellent breakfasts, including breakfast for an early start on the last day, a very spacious and...

"What do you fancy for your breakfast in the morning?" "I think an omelette would be nice." "Ham? Cheese? Mushrooms? Tomato? Sausage?" "Yes, that would be nice. We'll see you in the morning." A sound sleep in a firm bed. A hot shower. Fresh coffee. Fresh tea. Cold milk and plenty of cereal choices. Just what's needed the morning after...

Thanks very much, I'm laughing at your unusual style of review - very refreshing and fantastic & God bless your appetite, you did a great job of polishing off most of that omelette (nice of you to keep a bit for the dogs!). Where the B & B was clean and host friendly it does not stand up to it's 4 star rating. A big no no for me is a waterproof matress cover on an adults bed. Not very pleasent to wake up sweating during the night due to plastic under the sheet. Came in late at night to discover our bed...

Hi Annette, I am so disappointed to read your review as not once during your stay with us did you mention anything about not being happy with any part of your bedroom, had you done so we could have done something to improve your experience.
