This was our second time staying at Mary Prentiss Inn. It's very quaint, tastefully decorated with all the comforts of home including an afternoon tea with treats. We stayed in one of the rooms off the deck and found the bed comfortable and cozy. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant. There is a full or continental sit-down...

We were coming to Boston for a few days, and wanted an inn that served a good breakfast, and was convenient to the T. This fit the bill. My husband and I shared Suite 13 with our teenage son. It is a very nice room, with our queen size bed in a "loft", and my son using the pull-out sofa...

Comfortable and beautiful. Very helpful staff. Has parking which is great bonus and a lovely courtyard to have breakfast in the summer. They responded to my husband's dietary needs with such a desire to please, it was heartwarming.

Everything about our stay exceeded our high expectations. Our room was a reasonable rate for Cambridge, even on a night when many hotels rates were very high and others were sold out. Our room comfortably slept us (a couple and one teenager), since it included a pull-out sofa. The furniture and decor was all beautiful, including the elegant bathroom. No...

My wife's son is within walking distance of MPI. And so are about thirty trustworthy eating establishments as well the T and bus stops. It's a ten minute walk from Harvard/Square. Each room in which we've stayed is different. All are homey - warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The environment is quiet though hardly monastic. The...

I absolutely loved the Mary Prentiss Inn. I stayed there for three nights while attending a workshop at the Lesley University. It was close to so many things, great neighborhood to walk in the mornings and evenings. The room was beautiful and they made fresh cookies and cupcakes every afternoon for tea!! I am only sorry they are booked for...

We had a really delightful time at the Mary Prentiss. First, we got a good price on their website, better than the discount websites. It is beautifully landscaped in front and on the back deck where we had breakfast (which was very good). Our room was big and comfortable, lovely period furnishings (we had Room 7 with a king bed)....

I wanted to stay at a B&B for our trip to Cambridge but my husband wanted to stay at a hotel. After showing him compared prices, he agreed to try the B&B. When selecting the room we each wanted, we actually chose the same room #9. We were so excited and was not disappointed. We arrived in time for tea...

The place was beautiful, clean, and the service wonderful. I could not have asked for more, except a fridge in the room. My wife and I had a wonderful evening and a nice breakfast. We were upgraded to a nicer room for free when the manager learned it was our anniversary. Great location, parking underneath (really cool), and clearly a...

We stayed one night at this bed and breakfast and wish we had of stayed longer. Excellent location. Walking distance to Harvard Square and very close to subway location. The inn itself is beautiful, with a lovely outside sitting area, and lovely dining area. The rooms are quaint and very comfortable. Lisa Gartland was an amazing host, and a very...
