We were driving from Milan to Trieste and decided to stop at this restaurant in the walled castle town of Soave. It was our first meal of the trip and we loved it. Perfectly cooked pasta, tasty veal tonnato and terrific St Michele Soave. We enjoyed it so much that we stopped for lunch again two weeks later on our...

Spotless rooms, chaming decor, well located, short walk walk to everything, very good restaurant down stairs but some little oversights. This is a wine town, some wine glasses and bottle opener please, some hot water to make a cup of tea and an iron to freshen up a shirt; the little things are lacking.

Everything about this place is perfect...the room, the staff, the restaurant...the first and the best meal we ate our entire holiday! The loveliest most helpful staff... utterly delicious food... Will be going back! When our car wouldn't start the next morning the manageress (Martina) called her husband, who was a mechanic, to help us! He was brilliant ...unbelievable service

We loved this small villa located outside of the city walls of Soave. We arrived late in the afternoon for a one night stay. Needless to say we wished we could have stayed longer at this charming villa. It is a very popular dining spot in the evening. Our dinner was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The...

As we approached Soave from the highway, I wondered what that lovely town to our left was, only to discover it was our destination. Could not have been more charmed on closer inspection. Great room, wonderful food.

Locanda is a small hotel just outside the city walls of Soave. We arrived on a Monday in October and both the city and the hotel looked deserted. However, we were kindly received by the owner of the hotel who told us that we were the only people staying there for the night and it was self service. The room,...

This hotel is just outside the walled town of Soave and the 4 rooms are right above the restaurant. Rooms are large, tastefully furnished with very modern bathrooms with marble floors. The breakfast was the only disappointment, consisting of packaged items and juices in the small refridgerators, since the restaurant isn't open early in the day. Be sure and book...

Locanda la Scudo is a little villa with a restaurant on the ground floor and 4 rooms on 2 floors. It is located at the gates of the ancient walls around the historical center of Soave, a little provincial town famous for its white wines. The owners are very amicable, friendly, hospitable people, and though the reception is closed on...

“Any of the rooms are good, we saw 3 of the 4. All are modern and tastefully furnished and wi-fi is available. The tv is small but a typical size for Italy.”
