Last week I stayed for 3 nights at the Sortland Hotel in Northern Norway. This is not a new hotel, but it has stood the test of time well. Very friendly and helpful staff in reception and restaurant. I particularly enjoyed the small enclave off the lobby, with its comfy seats near the gratis coffee and newspapers. In the lobby...

Stayed here for one night, on our way to Andenes. Our room was small but enough for us. Good price for what you get, especially for being in Norway. Breakfast was really nice, with lots of variety ! Thankyou for a good stay!

Nice recently renovated hotel. We cycled from Bo to Sortland. The hotel is conveniently located on the road through town and close to the city centre. Spacious rooms, helpful staff. A disadvantage was that there was no place to put our bicycles inside. Good breakfast.

We stayed here on our first night in Northern Norway - a basic obviously retro hotel. It had evolved from a turn of century house to the obviously mid century buildings seen today. Whilst the corridors and stairs still had a very basic appearance, our small room had been upgraded a little with green club furniture, pretty artwork by local...

The hotel has newly gone trough a renovation, where all rooms and the breakfast area have been renovated. It's modern and tasteful, and a comfy bed. Some small things here and there (like a noisy fridge and a broken lamp in the room),but overall a nice experience. The breakfast was good in nice surroundings.

We cycled to Sortland from Bo, Andoya and the first thing we noticed that it was full of buildings painted blue. The hotel was a lovely salmon orange! This is a modern large hotel with comfortable clean rooms. It caters for coach trips so can be a bit of a scrum if you hit the breakfast buffet at the wrong...

A good, clean, basic hotel with a friendly staff. We stayed here for 3 nights, the buffet breakfasts were good, but if a coach party is in it pays to eat a bit earlier as the staff had some trouble keeping up with replenishing the plates. We also ate here in the evenings and were happy with the meals, especially...

The staff was on strike (along with the rest of Norwegian hospitality staff) the days that I was there, but the hotel itself, while a little dated, was very comfortable and welcoming. Good comfortable beds and good wifi. I didn't spend a lot of time in the room but it was comfortable when I did. I would stay there again...

We had the pleasure of staying at the sortland hotel as part of a northern lights trip. We had one of the refurbished room and it was warm, clean, modern and cosy. The staff were really friendly, the food was very good and there was always a hot cup of coffee. Our tour guide Robert went out of his way...
