Carriage House was a wonderful B & B. Considering it has only been open a few months, Miranda & her mom have done a great job. Breakfasts were healthy, pleasing to the eye & plenty of it. I was impressed by the thousands of books & the names of some books painted on the rise of the stairs . Miranda...

We spent two restful nights at this lovely inn. The ambiance suggests a relaxed elegance. The room was cozy and immaculate. The breakfasts were incredible, delicious and substantial. The owner and her family went out of their way to make us comfortable. There's much to see and do in the area. One of our favorites was a hike up the...

We stayed two nights at the Carriage House and I couldn't recommend it more highly. New owners have brought competence and friendliness to this charming old inn. The breakfasts were splendid, and the innkeeper, Miranda, was "over the top". No request went unanswered. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. It's a great bargain.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at the Carriage House of Woodstock. The rooms were clean and well appointed, the breakfasts were good-sized and delicious, and the hosts most engaging. While we didn't get to actually read any of the thousands of books on the shelves, we certainly had fun looking at them. We also enjoyed sitting on the...

We spent our honeymoon here for five days. We were warmly welcomed. The house was spotless. Rynn and Miranda were great hosts. Miranda makes some of the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had! The room we stayed in was ski lodge. There were fresh tulips and the Vermont basket we had ordered was full of local goodies. Just be...

My husband and I stayed at the Carriage House for two nights. Rynn and Miranda do a great job making you feel welcome and sharing suggestions on places to see and restaurants to eat at in the area. Both breakfasts were outstanding and plentiful and served so elegant with cloth napkins and tablecloths. Such a nice touch making you feel...

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights on our first trip to Vermont. The innkeepers were so warm and inviting and we instantly felt welcomed. They helped us find restaurants in the area that suited out tastes, gave us information on activities and hikes, and were available to answer all of our questions. The house was clean, comfortable,...

K- We are so glad you chose the Carriage House. We loved hosting your first visit to the state and hope to see you again (perhaps in warmer weather...or during foliage). It means so much that you would take the time to write such a thoughtful review. It is very appreciated as are the recommendations to friends! Thanks, Rynn:)

My daughter and I did a mini vacation in Vt. We had heard Woodstock was a great place...it truly was. We really enjoyed our stay at Carriage House. The rooms were even nicer in person than the pics shown on the website. The owner was very pleasant, made you feel welcome in the beautiful inn, and happy to give advice...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
At the Carriage House, we believe in a different kind of bed and breakfast experience. One that is both elegant and fun. We love doilies and antiques as much as the next person (well, maybe not quite as much), but we also love relaxing rooms where you can come home at the end of an adventurous day and read a book, watch a movie, or play a game with family and friends. We delight in art, literature, music, wine, and cheese, but we also appreciate the virtues of blow tubes, marshmallows, and shaving cream every now and then (a messy, but uber fun game best played outside). We believe you can enjoy well set tables, slow meals, crisp clean linens, and plush towels and . . . Video games. Each of our 9 guest rooms is individually themed and features a private bath, luxurious linens, and free in-room wifi. We want you to know that we welcome people from every walk of life, and we are LGBT friendly. Also, children of all ages are welcome (though we may need your assistance to avoid disturbing other guests) and we can occasionally accommodate small pets (please call in advance to check). Whoever you are, our goal is help you have a magical experience while visiting one of New England's most charming areas. ... more   less
