Stayed at this family run hotel as the base for a Saga 'Solo Travellers' holiday, visiting Green Spain. The staff were friendly and helpful, the manageress having been trained as a Saga rep, and having a good command of English. Rooms were large and well-furnished and were very clean. A wide variety of dishes were available for breakfasts and a... More

We have just come back from our third vistit to this hotel over several years and cannot praise it enough! This small family run establishment gives everyone a warm welcome and cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable. The food is first class. It is wonderfully positioned on a beautiful beach where you can watch the surfers. This is... More

Juan de la Cosa is a small, unpretentious little hotel on a wonderful beach about 1.4 km outside Santona, the anchovy capital of Spain, if not the world. We wen t just out of season, in October, and had a wonderful stay. Apart from weekends, when the hotel was full of cheerful wedding guests and the beach has a few... More

Stayed at this hotel for one week as part of tour with Galloway Travel of Suffolk. We had requested a high floor and sea view which we were given. We had room 311 which had a balcony. The room was clean and spacious, service in the restaurant and bar was excellent and there was a good choice in the breakfast... More

Hotel Juan de la Cosa is situated on one of the nicest surf beaches I have been to. Surf schools galore, friendly local surfers and waves for every level. The sandy beach is about 1 mile long so a "sea view" room is worth the extra surcharge! Mainly Spanish tourists and hardly any English around which is nice! Hotel food... More

We have a wonderful stay for 9 days in in June. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean with a beautiful ocean view. The food was very good. The beach Playa de Berria is outstanding, clean, wide and long. What more could you ask for!

We chose this hotel from the All-inclusive Saga for the usual reasons...not too far to travel to and all the favourable Tripadvisor reports.Unfortunately it turned out to be possibly the least enjoyable holiday we have had with Saga through no fault of the hotel.Fifty or so of us were met by the totally zany(but brilliant) rep called Belen at the... I had been walking the Camino del Norte with 2 friends. We arrived early in Berria and as it was almost our last day we decided to treat ourselves to Sunday lunch. We shared a paella and a bottle of white wine in the hotel restaurant. The restaurant is bright and airy with tall Windows. It has a fine view... More
