El Cau de Papibou is a delightful, small hotel that is beautifully managed by Alicia. As your host, she has a wealth of information about this fascinating village, and surrounding areas. Plus, she offers a very warm greeting and facilitates any and all needs while you are staying with her. As the hotel has only 7 room, I suggest one...

Rare is a hotel that makes you want to put the operator on your Christmas card list. But this was one. The location inside the village was perfect, the room was spotless but most of all the service was exceptional. Elisa who told us she had a lot of jobs before getting into the hotel business, seems to have found...

The village was all that we expected and more. The hotel was great and the location is perfect. The rooms were clean with a beautiful view, All that you need. Elisa at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. All in all it was a pleasant experience that I would like to try again.

Rooms are minimalist with a quite good size, the bed is comfy, and the room is clean and cozy. Alicia is a great hostess, she was really helpful to indicate what to see, and where to eat. From Peratallada you can visit other medieval towns, the hotel is well located within the city. The parking is public and it is...

We enjoyed our stay at this property and the charming village. The manager is very friendly and is happy to answer Qs and provide advice and suggestions about the area. The breakfast was plentiful. Our room was very comfortable and worth the additional cost for a superior room. Nice amenities and decor in the room. If you drive you will...

My wife booked a stay at El Cau de Papibou as a birthday present, however due to family reason we couldn't make it for the date originally booked, however when we called the Hotel Alicia was willing to help us find another date to make our visit! A month or so later when we finally managed to get away for...

My wife and I spent 2 nights at the Cau de Papibou in May, 2016 and we very much enjoyed our stay in this small, quaint hotel. As noted by other reviewers, the room was very comfortable, the breakfasts delicious and the owner, Alicia, very helpful and personable. Also, as noted by others, Peratallada is a "must see" destination in...

Located in the centre of a wonderfully preserved medieval village this hotel has very comfortable and clean rooms, it is close to all the village shops and restaurants, and has a very nice Breakfast too. As with all the other reviews the host speaks impeccable English and is enthusiastic and helpful in directing you to the best tourist locations, and...

Placed in the small town Peratallada. Spacy rooms, serviceminded staff and great breakfast. We recommend. This is a special place in a very quiet medieval town. We took nice cycling tours to several small towns in the area. You can reach the sea by bike in an hour.

We spent one night at the end of September when the weather had turned and there were few tourists about. The hotel was very quiet with only a handful of guests but we were very happy with the very friendly staff, cleanliness of our room (superior No 4) and general facilities. Being able to make free hot drinks in the...
