We stayed at this small hotel in September '15 for 3 nights. It is located in a beautiful town that seems almost untouched. We arrived on a Saturday which meant loads of day tourists. You must park in the public parking area (parking is included if you get there before they run out of passes) and you must walk through...

In a superb village, this hotel was a great little find. Alicia, the manager was so kind and welcoming and very informative about the surrounding areas. Completely fluent in Catalán, Spanish and English made our stay so friendly and stress free (my husband is Spanish and speaks no English but obviously English is easier for me). The restaurant attached to...

Alicia the manager speaks fluent English and is enthusiastic and helpful. Our room no 2 was fine: clean, ample size, comfy bed and charming view of greenery through three windows. Air con a bit fierce but welcome. The sound of birds on the interior terrace was enchanting. Lots of character and a fun place to stay.

Had a great time here with my girlfriend. Alicia, who runs the hotel is just brilliant! She answered all of our many questions, recommended the best restaurants to use in the town, and helped us maximise our time in the medieval town and amazing local area! Loved our room, and would highly recommend anyone to stay at the hotel! The...

El Cau del Papibou (you'd translate it as "The Burrow of the Tadpole") is a special, charming little hotel. A very old house, maybe a little palace, that hosts a tasty restaurant on the ground floor and a handful of rooms (maybe six or seven) upstairs, in the very heart of one of the most visited and praised medieval towns...

We recently stayed overnight at Cau de Papibou for a friend's wedding. It's located in the stunning medieval village of Peratallada. We were given the warmest of welcomes by our host Alicia and made to feel at home. Our room (Superior) was very comfortable, with a large double bed and overlooked a pretty terrace. The hotel is right in the...

Stayed 2 nights with my mother. The receptionist could not have been more helpful and even offered to go and look for my mum if she got lost! Chef even provide tapas for us in advance of opening times. I personally like to stay in a place with a view , which this did not have.
