The hotel is visually stunning and the setting is tranquil and relaxing. We stayed in a standard room, which we found too small. An upgrade would be recommended, as we felt the room did not compliment the properties elegance. Our room was above the reception area which was quite noisy. I would recommend to stay further down in the hotel...

On a recent trip to Begur, my boyfriend and I stumbled upon El Convent while looking for a place to stay. After a quick trip to the property, we called the next morning and made a reservation. What a fantastic decision! The hotel is beautifully designed with understated elegance. We stayed in a moderately sized room with a king bed...

I chose the hotel because of its location, along one of my favourite stretches of the Costa Brava, and because the low-season weekend package they were offering seemed like excellent value. With an offer, you never know if there will be a catch but the hotel looked great on the web page so I decided to give it a try....

We stayed in this cozy, elegant and tranquil hotel in September, probably the best time for enjoying the Costa Brava. We got room nr. 17, spacious, cleaned with a small balcony overlooking the pool and the gorgeous valley and woods. Maybe the bathroom was a bit too small and crunchy. Bed very comfortable. Slippers, good towels, free beach/pool towels which...

What a beautiful spot! We are so happy we stayed here. The grounds are absolutely impeccably kept, and it's just a short walk to the Sa Riera beach. The service at the front desk was unfailing - they were always available for recommendations and told us about our favorite restaurant, Turandot, up the hill in Begur. The restaurant in the...

We stayed in El Convent june 2011. This was our second stay there; we absolutely love it. It is close to the medieval village of Begur (shopping and dining) and a few minutes away from the lovely bays of the Costa Brava. The Hotel has a good restaurant and a nice outdoor terrace and pool.

I just kept thinking "what a shame"... This is such a stunning looking hotel set in the most beautifully kept grounds with a lovely swimming pool and restarant terrace. And yet it is not being managed properly and the value for money is very poor. We paid E237 euros a night (high season) and yet our small room (no 10)...

Really loved this hotel, small boutiquesque but loads of character, good food and excellent service. It was nice to find somewhere on this coast not overly commercialised and we had to go as far north to Begur to find it. Offered us a very relaxing break, nice small town on the hill and lovely beach at with walking distance of...

Very beautiful hotel - a former convent stylishly converted. Located a short walk from Sa Riera beach but a little longer from Begur itself, so a car is essential. Our standard room was very comfortable, and breakfasts offered a good range of pastries and fruits. The main problem for us was that the hotel can't seem to decide if it's...

This is one of the most beautiful locations (a converted Convent in its own grounds) in a beautiful part of the Costa Brava. We've been regular visitors since discovering it a few years ago (I think right after it opened). The restaurant is capable of serving up delicate surprises, the terrace is stunning, the swimming pool divine, the location near...
