As with most of the Parador properties Plasencia is a stunning building with courtyards and gardens preserved from its original function as a monastery . Entering the place via the car lift is somewhat daunting . The entrance is actually part of and below the old city wall . It is though by far the best way to enter the...

We loved our stay here for four nights. The reception staff were so helpful in recommendations for everything from haircuts, to day trips, restaurants, and spas! As a result we had a wonderful short break, we packed loads in. Bar staff were again very helpful. One of the staff has been working on his english, which was great... We we...

This is a beautiful Parador in the heart of the old city of Pasencia. For guests in the summer there is a pool. It used to be a monastery and the Parador offers a free guided tour for guests. The comfortable Rooms are larger than normal with a separate seating area with TV Only drawbacks are those common to many...

Dear Kenshare: Thank you so much for your comments after your stay at the parador. In your room you should have found a brochure offering you other pillows. I will check with the housekeeper this apparent omission. We'll try to improve our quality of food. Looking forward to your next stay with us, yours sincerely, Félix Lobo Manager

We're here now, staying for one night. Had booked a standard room but decided to upgrade to Superior. Great decision! Absolutely stunning building, I'm speechless. It's my third Parador but the best so far!!! Parking is tricky but lots of room underground. Enquire in hotel for details. Best feature of hotel is it's 'after hours bar' in the dungeon!! So...

You can breathe history in this ancient convent/monastery (15th - 17th century). It is the ideal place to explore the city walking. Inside it is quiet with nice view and excellent service. As it is forbidden to enter the city by car, you can only unload your baggage at the entrance with special permission and the either park at the...

Beautiful and dashing place - an old monastery, richly furnished; an experience of is own, a sort of museum in it's own right, any time worth the trip, just to marvel at the richly furnished halls and galleries; very good breakfast, excellent kitchen and friendly personel. (And - surprise! - an elevator that transports your car to the parking lot!)

I was extremely pleased with the size of our room as we were traveling with 2 children. The hotel staff were very helpful when I asked to change our room before we arrived. My only question and I forgot when checking out was what is the point of having an Amigos card? Do I get points on it? I forgot...

My husband and I have stayed at this Parador in the past and loved it. This time we stayed in the suite named "La Florida (Room 401)." The room is amazing. Beautiful bedroom with a comfortable bed. There are two separate beautifully appointed sitting areas with a long balcony overlooking the pool. The Parador itself evokes a certain Renaissance charm....
