Stayed one night in this small motel, and found it clean yet spartan in amenities. No in-room coffeemaker and a loud fan on the heater were the only downside. Hey, for about $50. + tax, this is a great bargain--and a little trip down memory lane! Friendly manager can recommend local restaurants, etc.

My girlfriend decided to stay in Barstow before heading to Vegas for New Years, and chose to stay at the Route 66 Motel. The Motel well kept, especially for a building upwards to 60+ years old. The rate was fair, and we felt comfortable. Definitely felt like the best hotel for the value in the area, and great for staging...

This is the Best place we stayed on our roadtrip. The rooms are at little worn out, but there are so much charm that it doesnt matter. Owners are very friendly and helpsom. If you have the time to talk, you can get a lot of the history about Route 66 and good tips for restaurants. The decor with the...

The room we stayed in was clean and had a large modern bathroom with a great shower.. The owner was very informative. The room was very reasonably priced and has restaurants within walking distance of the motel.

Truly a trip back to the 50's. Clean, comfortable and pleasant. Ours had a refrigerator and a microwave, large bathroom and very large king size bed that was firm, just right for my back. Very quiet place to stay. Lots of neat neon signs, old cars mainly rusted out. One 1940's Cadillac as well as a 40's LaSalle, pretty rare...

A very charming and quaint motor court. I stayed one night on my drive out to southern California and I liked it so much that I stayed again on my return trip heading east. This is the motel with all the old cars on display (loved the old Nash Metropolitan tucked away in one of the old guest garages), not...

This hotel was clean, and fun to stay at, due to the overall throwback look to it, including old antique automobiles parked permanently outside. It's nearly 100 years old, according to the current owners, who have operated it for the last 36 years! They are trying to keep it open, while all old things around them, such as a drive-in...

This is an iconic Route 66 ma & pa type motel located right along our Mother Road. You will not find a nicer host along the California route. The motel itself is a huge phtoographic opportunity. Food is within easy driving distance.

Staff was very friendly and helpful Has great stories about folk who visit regularly. Environment kitschy. Love the old cars. Very clean, comfy in a 1950s way. It would be nice to have access to coffee either in the room or a common area. But there is a great donut and coffee shop down the street. Another throw-back to the...
