Friendly, clean, good food. Poor entertainment too much line dancing music.not enough staff in dining room. Hotel needs a refurb generally. Entertainment area uncomfortable to see as lay out with pillars blocked view.
The Hotel Port Denia is extremely well managed and this is shown by the work of a dedicated hard working, efficient, friendly staff. The place is kept spotlessly clean and the catering is of a high standard. The facilities available are beyond one would expect from a three star hotel and more than equal many with a higher star rating.
this was our second visit and we will go again. Food excellent, service good, clean, always hot water, good view from balcony. Pillows a little hard. You had to pay for a safe which was quite small (not laptop size) Rooms were cozy in size , not small but not roomy either. Whilst several diets were catered for I have to have skimmed milk(zero fat content) and they did not have this. Entertainment could be better
We had a really enjoyable stay at the Port Hotel Denia - and the location was excellent. From the moment we arrived we were impressed with the friendly greeting from the Receptionist. Our room was large and the bed was very comfortable. The view from our balcony was stunning. We were on a full board holiday and every meal was excellent with plenty of choice. The staff in the dining room were very pleasant. We will definitely return to this hotel and could certainly recommend it. There was nightly entertainment which was very enjoyable. We have nothing negative to say about this hotel.
The Hotel is in a great position fro exploring Denia. A short walk to the town centre with lots of Cafes. The castle is worth exploring. A short walk to the right of the hotel takes you along the promenade with a nice cafe stop. The Hotel was spotlessly clean as were the rooms and staff were very friendly. I am gluten free and found that the Kitchen staff were very helpful in advising what was and was not gluten free. Reception were again very helpful and friendly. Would I stay again, definitely a big YES.
We're disappointed so far two weeks into our four week stay here compared to our previous stay here preCovid in 2019. We returned because we thought our previous stay was excellent. The cleanliness of the rooms and public areas is really good. The staff & the entertainment etc. were all good. The hotels dining areas have been been completely refitted since our last stay, but the quality of the food has deteriorated somewhat, in fact we were quite dissapointed with the quality of it. The variety has declined and most of the hot dishes were in fact only luke warm and on a couple occasions were inedible. Some chicken and pork dishes were in my opinion undercooked and were pink and bloody. Always lots of fish dishes were presented at most sittings, but then again they were only just warm, even those that were grilled at the counter. It appeared that most of the dishes were prepared far to early & kept warm until restaurant opening time. The sauces had formed a skin on them e.g. the barbeque sauce on the chicken. The selection of fruit and puddings was superb, always plentiful and well presented. The salads counter was a bit samey every day but always well presented and very popular. The breads were limited to either white or brown sliced or roles. I believe when we stayed last there was a good selection of different breads to chose from. I was surprised that hand sanitiser was not offered on entry to the restaurant. We don't think we'll be returning here any more.…
Hotel overall a bit dated , rooms very basic but kept spotless by housekeeping, swimming pool area ok but needs finishing off as a part of the area hasn't got the astro turf on, would make a huge difference if completed. All staff excellent in all areas, especially Saga reps and animation team.
I first came to the Port Denia Hotel four years ago and after travelling to a lot of places I decided this was where I wanted to come back. I came here three times then the pandemic hit but since the hotel reopened I have been another four times and more booked. Hotel is very clean, good food, entertainment in the evenings, trips out are included with Saga and comfortable beds and all at a good price, what more could anyone ask for
Stayed at this hotel for only one night. Hotel is very nice, but bedding not up to standards we expected. Also, they charge 2 euro for towels to use the pool - may be common in Spain but not typical in our travels. Location is excellent and we would stay again.
Can't complain about cleanliness, food or staff, all were great. I had double room for sole occupancy which costs us single people. Room was spacious and clean, plenty of storage, safe with a key [awkward] additional fee. Bath with shower over. Rooms cleaned every day. No view, was on lst floor , on flat roof. Opposite big block flats which looked deserted. About 20 min walk to town. 5 mins to promenade but not greatest beach. Only 1 cafe. Hotel entertainment during day with various games. Outdoor pool freezing. Heated indoor pool which has to be booked plus 2 euros for a cap to be worn. No local transport to speak of. Chemist and small supermarket close.. 20 min walk to Marina with plenty cafes etcH
