Most of the hotels we stayed in while in Spain were modern and lacked flavor. La Posada del Mar was a hotel we wish we could have stayed at longer. It was beautiful and with an amazing location. My wife and I stayed in this amazing hotel for 4 nights while attending our friends wedding in Denia. As soon as you walk into the hotel, you're blown away by the distinctive fresh smell of candles burning in reception. However, this sublime smell resonates throughout the hotel. If you end up staying there you'll understand what I mean. We booked a Junior suite with terrace. The room was very big along with the terrace overlooking the marina. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is very good. It has a small gym but is rarely used so you could have it to yourself if that's your thing. The hotel is very well located, close to restaurants, shops, the Marina across the road and beach is a 5 min walk away. The castle is on view from the hotel and only a few mins walk away. If/when we return to Denia, there is only one place we'll want to stay.…

Our stay at this hotel was only one night but we were very pleased with the service. Room was comfortable and we had a nice view of the harbor. Breakfast was good as well but it was the service that was exceptional. Upon arrival we were give instructions on where to park the car but I could not find the garage so we walked around in circles for over an hour with a small map. We ended up leaving the car at the public parking lot up the street. Turns out we were expected to drive a very short distance up the wrong way on a one way street to get to parking garage. When we returned the lady at reception could see our frustration. An hour or so later, we opened the door to find she had sent up a bottle of cava!

We only stayed one night, but this hotel is in a great location, the room was quite big & we had a small balcony overlooking the port. Everything was great apart from the speed of the WiFi, but only staying one night, it wasn’t an issue. We saw two different receptionists & both were extremely helpful. Parking is secure & easy, but you do need to check in forest to get a card key. We didn’t have breakfast there, so can’t comment on that.

We are five nights into a seven night visit and are thoroughly delighted with all aspects of this experience. The location is perfect; right on the marina in the heart of downtown. Although on a main thoroughfare, it is very quiet and convenient to both the old town and the major shopping streets. The breakfast is fresh, varied, and wonderful with a delightful staff to serve you. Excellent linens, AC, water pressure, and room darkening curtains. We are staying in a third floor (there are only four floors) junior corner suite which is roomy and comfortable. We heartily recommend this establishment.

We booked this hotel at short notice as a belated birthday break. Not only did they give us a room directly overlooking the marina as requested but also left a complimentary bottle of chilled cava in our room. The hotel has been carefully refurbished and is situated on the seafront overlooking the bustling marina and an excellent place from which to explore Denia old town and the castle. The staff were all very obliging and friendly and made our stay all the more memorable. The rooms are a good size, clean and furnished to a good standard. The balcony is a little on the small side but we still managed to spend a few hours there watching the world go by. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. There are many excellent restaurants all around the hotel and we can most definitely recommend it and hope to visit again before too long Thank you…

The hotel is in an excellent location with parking opposite and it’s own car park. The building is old, historic and beautiful. Everything was within walking distance. Our room was lovely with fantastic views across the marina. Tastefully decorated, well equipped and had it’s own balcony with a bistro set for sitting out. The staff were friendly and helpful. Really couldn’t have asked for more.

Very nice traditional hotel with great location. We had sea view room which was very large with comfortable beds. The decor/style is very traditional which wouldn't normally be my choice but we knew that when booking. Very good breakfast.

We have just returned from a lovely 2 night stay at this delightful hotel directly opposite the marina in the lovely town of Denia, we had a room on the third floor overlooking the marina which was large and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was also very nice, whilst we were there we had the set 3 course lunch one afternoon which again was superb and excellent value. Thanks again we will be back

Absolutely love this hotel, location and staff. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and immaculately clean. The breakfast room is so relaxing, with friendly, helpful staff. The choices are ample. The restaurant on the main level, again friendly, helpful staff. The food is excellent. Everyone you come into contact with, makes it their life’s worth to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. Highly recommend.
