Just to save everyone else the trouble of searching for a way to book with The River Lodge, they have apparently ceased to be a B&B as of Nov 2014. I read the reviews and was seriously impressed as I needed a B&B for business. However I called a number I found on another website and they advised they were...

We stayed for two nights while visiting friends who live nearby. Stayed in Parsley room at back of house. Everything you need catered for, good nights sleep comfy bed, excellent shower, fab hairdryer. Breakfast was made with good quality produce & plentiful. All round good choice. Thanks Keith

If you want to know what makes for a perfect B&B pay a visit here. Yes it was spotless, yes we had a lovely room and yes the breakfast was delicious, but what made this visit special was meeting and talking to the owners Terri and Keith. They both make you feel so very welcome in their home.

Just back from 2 nights at this B&B. We chose it because of its location, which was absolutely perfect for our needs. Clean, comfortable and tidy. There were others staying at the same time as us who use it to visit London, going on the train from Sandy. It would be ideal for this. The breakfast is both plentiful and...

Stayed here just the one night (31/03/14) en-route to Heathrow (about 1 1/2hrs further on). This was taken due to previous reviews on Trip-Advisor & we were not sorry, it was just as shown & deserves the good reviews. The accommodation is excellent & well worth our short visit as this was near the A1 but quietly so (Found just...

Just off the A1, but very quiet location. Rooms small but with all the facilities and extra's. Welcome could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Breakfast ws one of the best we have had. TV was small and did not work very well, otherwise a great stay.

This delightful B & B fully lived up to its reputation. The room, a single, was warm and cosy. The bed very comfortable with a decent bathroom, naturally quite small though. The host was very helpful, especially when the TV suddenly packed up - he knew how to put it right at once. They are also thoughtful touches in the...

My husband stayed here while visiting the Bedfordshire Steam Fair and we were not disappointed. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet with an en suite shower room and the breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day ahead. It is in a great position with easy access to Cambridge, Shuttleworth Museum, Ely Cathedral, etc. and had some...

WOW! what a great place to stay either overnight as a stop over or for longer! I stayed here for just one night but was amazed by the place. It clean, quiet and with the most comfy beds! Admittedly the showers are on the smaller side as is the TV but all other amenities are available and in excellent order....

I have stayed at the River Lodge twice now and both visits have been excellent with all the little touches that make you feel welcome. I would highly recommend staying at the River Lodge either for leisure breaks or for business. Everything is impeccably clean, breakfast is a treat and everything is well organised.
