It's a cute motel that offers just your basics... bed, bathroom and shampoo/soap. We paid 65.00 a night which was waaayyyy worth it compared to the other hotels in the area. Their white chocolate mocha from their coffee shop was rich and delicious... the bed was ok and Walls were thin but We expected it for the price. I would... More

The outside of the Motel was very pretty, but the bed was very uncomfortable and made a loud noise every time you turned over. I thought my husband had fell through the bed, it was so loud. I couldn't sleep most of the night. The pillows were so flat, and the electric outlet didn't work in the bathroom, and the... More

Very basic, no frills, comfortable lodging. Beds are noisy (don't know if they are air mattresses or what). However, they were comfortable. Great location and value if you're going to explore Mount Ranier. Check out, close by, Wildberry Restaurant for a meal. Very interesting menu - tasty!

Consensus opinion of two couples traveling together and staying in separate rooms. This is the only motel type lodging in the Ashford area. Other possible chaises are lodge/resort/cabin type lodging. It is not surprising that the rooms do not have a microwave, TV, frig or phone. It was a surprise that the rooms do not have a coffee maker and... More

I didn't stay here but I went to their cafe and bought a couple camping breakfasts there before my climbing and also a strawberry smoothie after climbing and beers. I love them! And their staff was pretty cool!

This was a fun experience to stay in the bunkhouse where all the Mt. Rainier climbers come and go. Nothing plush, but lots of fun. The only suggestion I have is - please get new mattresses that don't make noise! Might be okay for a solo sleeper, but definitely not great for a couple!

At the foot of Mt. Rainier! This is the base for much of the climbing for Mt. Rainer. Owned by the Whittaker family ( Jim Whittaker is the first American to summit Everest) and now run and owned by his nephew Win Whittaker who also runs the Ashford film festival. The bar and grill along with the cafe, give you... More

Best place to stay for families. Can book minimum of one night. Very clean, comfortable, and spacious. We were pleasantly surprised. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Great food with great prices. Has it's own visitor center, which was helpful. Restaurant, general store and gas station within walking distance. About 10 moles from park entrance.

My husband and I only stayed here one night, last week while visiting Mt. Rainier. We drove to Mt. Rainier from Seattle Monday morning, about a 1.5 hr drive, then headed to the park. After a day of hiking, we headed to Whittaker's. It is located about 10 miles from the park. We chose a room with 2 queen beds... More

First, if you are climbing with RMI this is THE place to stay. It is co-located with RMI, has a coffee/breakfast shop, and also easy access to the burger & pizza bar, and the gear shop at RMI. It is very convent place to stay. You should have reasonable expectations for the rooms. It is not the 4 Seasons, but... More
