Visited on a Saturday evening as a couple for dinner. We were lucky enough to visit on a music night, so were treated to some Irish/folk music while we ate. Ordered the butterfly king prawn special for starter (to share) and then a pizza and lamb cawl special for main. The cawl was great, a lovely hearty meal after a...

Visited the Harp Inn whilst away for New Year in Glasbury on Wye. Received such a warm welcome. We all had 3 courses- last blow out before the diet. I would highly recommend the pie and faggots. The wood burner made it nice and cosy too. Friendly, cosy and traditional.

This is the second time I have stayed at the Harp Inn and the place is still ideal. Firstly, if you are coming to spend time book hunting in Hay on Wye this pub is only four miles down the main road in Glasbury. It is only 10 minutes direct drive but a lot cheaper than the competition. This is...

My colleague and I stayed at The Harp Inn for 2 nights as we were doing a Lowland Leader course (Adventures With Will) at the nearby Black Mountain Lodge. Our room was cosy and warm and there was tea, coffee, and hot chocolate available in the room. We were also lucky enough to be situated at the back of the...

We make a point of calling here when we are having a break in tranquil Glasbury. Host Graham always make you feel welcome and it is notable that the majority of reviewers put him at the forefront of why they like the Harp. His wife serves some very tasty food and my steak and ale pie was home made, fresh...

Had a day in the river with my dog at glasbury and was looking for a dog friendly place to eat when the harp came up online and it was just around the corner. The owners were lovely asking if the dog needed a drink of water, I had a ploughman's lunch and a bowl of chips which was very...

Very friendly pub serving good food and good beer made for a very enjoyable stay on the banks of the river Wye. Our ensuite rooms were small and cosy at the rear of the pub with views from our windows of the Wye. Lots of outdoor pursuits and activities take place in and around Glasbury.

Had a great lunch here. We both had the steak pie and mash and chocolate sponge for dessert. The food was well cooked. The beer was very well kept too,I had the the one brewed just for the pub. Landlord was very funny,he had a bit of a sarcastic sense of humour but then so do we! Shame we only...
