Me, my wife and two friends stayed here for a weekend on a dinner bed and breakfast deal - excellent value. It is not the Ritz, but a genuine warm welcome, decent pub food, and friendly people made for an excellent stay. To top it all, we were there to cycle and discovered that this area is wonderful cycling territory.

Stayed at the Wynnstay one night and had to eat there as no where else. Room ok -- clean and spacious but central heating not very efficient and heater provided as a result did not work . It was flushing the toilet that was the most dramatic experience ever -- sounded like your own formula 1 car in the bathroom...

Thank you for your review, as an owner of the hotel I insist that I am informed of quests comments, I have spoken to the barman on duty, and he doesn't speak Welsh so I am not sure that comment is correct. the Severn Trent water authority had turned off the water and there was an air lock in the...

My wife and I stayed here while looking at property to buy. We found the hotel staff friendly and attentive. The room was clean and comfortable - no frills, just how we like it. The food - both dinner and breakfast were EXCELLENT! We will be back!! Loved it!

We arrived in the village to view some houses with intent to buy a new home. Staying at one of the local pubs is an ideal way to get to know the area. The Wynnstay is quiet in winter. We were the only residents for our first night but the styaff were delightful. Friendly bar and restaurant service, though we...

This was our second visit this year having spent five nights at this hotel in March. This time we were booked in for six nights and the deal included breakfast and evening meal. The Wynnstay certainly can't be described as five star luxury because it isn't that kind of a place. It's homely and it is found in a beautiful...

The Wynnstay Arms Hotel is a good 3 hours drive from home, so we were limited with the amount of face-to-face contact we could have to plan our perfect wedding reception. But we had no worries, we knew we were in safe hands with the staff at the Wynnstay Arms. We provisionally booked out all of the rooms for our...

Discovering that the, perhaps more highly rated, Plough, Llanrhaedr was not open for lunch during the week, we visited The Wynnstay Arms and ended up more than happy with our decision. Both the welcome and the generally relaxed ambience are in The Wynnstay's definite favour. This laid back approach may be taken just a little too far though with a...

Being a local I visit the Wynny often. My wife and I went Sunday and enjoyed a lovely beef baguette with all the trimmings which we ate in the sunshine in the lovely beer garden, washed down with cold lager and wine. Wen and the kitchen staff always turn out top quality food at good prices, and Connor runs the...

We have just returned home following a family wedding reception at the Wynnstay. I just had to write to say what a wonderful welcome we received from all the team working there. They put themselves out considerably to ensure that the meal & reception was exactly how the newlyweds wanted it. Thank you all!!

We returned to the Wynnstay after a year and found it just as good, if not better than last time. Arriving to a great welcome, the staff actually remembered us from last time. The food was fantastic, with very generous portion sizes, and we enjoyed sampling the drinks selection while playing pool in the games room. The rooms themselves are...
