We stayed as a group of lads to watch the recent rugby match. Rooms were recently decorated and furnished and were fine for our stay. The bar was lively and hostess was keen to ensure we were happy. overall..ok...but a bit pricey at £100 per night

Arrived for a weekend break to see family. Not suitable for any one with a mobility problem. Car Park at rear no access in the morning unless you walk all the way round. Or come out of the rear fire exit door, which involves climbing down a large metal staircase to the car park. Heating off asked for help several...

Stayed here recently when the main city hotels were all busy. This isn't an expensive place and I was unsure what to expect but the room I was given was warm, with a comfortable bed and was spotless. The guy checking me in couldn't have been more helpful, breakfast was good and owners friendly. Fast free Wi-Fi. Taxi to the...

We had trouble booking our normal accommodation due to availability so tried this hotel. The rooms are above a pub, so you could enter via a door in the pub or leave through the fire escape. The room has recently been refurbished but did find there was still a lingering musky smell. Cleaning could be better the tops, bath and...

Stayed overnight. Lovely clean and tidy room. Beds a little squeaky but not a problem. Fact that hotel is on a very busy road was a problem. Cars seemed to be passing all night. Not great night's sleep. Had sunday lunch. Plenty of veg and meat but quality was distinctly average.

What a dump...Staff less than helpful & argumentative..Rooms poor didnt even do our beds 1 day nor empty bin or replace tea/coffee!! White towels a distinct shade of gray...carpets all threadbare..promised us breakfast but on arrival was not available only on weekends!! Had a dispute over price quoted (insisted on £100 extra) when asked to speak to manager..he/she was away...

Room sparse, freezing cold, awful outlook, back metal open stairway to enter and leave by before and after hours (fire escape) as no access to the car park when pub closed. No lift hence no access for anyone not able to make stairs. Only one redeeming feature a reasonable breakfast. Would definitely not recommend!

The location is a few miles outside of Cardiff - and it's close to a very nice little town centre, which seems quite well to do. The pub is very friendly, has a good range of beer, and serves food. My room was basic, but clean. You wouldn't call it modern, but the bed was comfortable. The pub food was,...
