according to its literature, the inn is the only one in the muir park and has been there a long, long time. unfortunately, little, if anything, has been done to renovate the property; in short, it is shabby. the rooms, nonetheless, are comfortable and the views are the attraction of the inn. the highlight of the stay, though, is the...

This hotel/inn is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at! Room is comfortable. View is fantastic. Breakfast and dinner were delicious! Would stay here again. Hiking trail minutes from hotel. Sad my family and I only stayed one night.

The two most outstanding things that come with a stay at Mountain Home Inn are the views and the staff. We booked one of the least expensive rooms but we still had a private deck with excellent views of upper San Francisco Bay. We were greeted at check-in by Selvin and he also helped with the dinner wait staff. He,...

First, let me say, I loved this hotel. You cannot beat the view, the atmosphere, the location, the friendly staff and the wonderful breakfast. My only complaint is that our room (Sunrise) was very hot and there was no ventilation other than the double doors to the balcony. We tried opening the doors to sleep but ended up with mosquitoes...

The Mountain Home Inn is close to my home but an escape. The location is spectacular and I mean spectacular. The food is lovely. The Staff is superb. However the only reason I did not give this property a 5 Star rating is because the owners need to put some very low cost asthetic touches to boost the ambience. I...

We visited Mountain Home for our honeymoon and stayed for two nights...not from the area so unsure what to expect. Immediately pulled up and noticed the beautiful location! Close proximity to the hiking trails (literally walk-on, walk-off), personal deck to relax on after a day of hiking and fireplace in the room were all amazing perks! The customer service was...

Lovely room with deck....gorgeous views. Fireplace was a great amenity. Quiet and private. Relaxing. Walking trails nearby. Tasty breakfast included. Restaurant was good and a nice option after a busy day.

I loved our stay at the Mountain Home Inn. We were there for one night this past week, at check-in we had the best customer service from Daniel. He got us in our room right away and made sure we had everything we needed, which was very appreciated as our travel into town was stressful. After that he provided us...

We stayed at the Mountain Home Inn for one night and have driven here for breakfast many times. It is easily accessible from the city of San Francisco; a short drive across the Golden Gate Bridge and up Mount Tamalpais. The rooms are done up in an old country inn style so if you are looking for the sophistication of...

Location is great, especially if you are into walking in the area. Rooms are very basic. No TV. Staff is friendly nevertheless service non existant. Meal service is chaos. Breakfast included in the price but they "recommend" $5 per person gratuity- cheeky. Overall this place is overpriced. Will not stay again.
