Although the place has some maintenance issues (cobwebs, iffy but free wifi), it is the perfect spot for a hiking vacation in the wilderness of Mt. Tamalpais and Muir Woods. You can literally walk out the door and into the park. The rooms are very...More
This review is for the restaurant only. Seating on the deck in fairly uncomfortable chairs. No umbrellas to shade from direct sun so bring a big hat. Food is good, fairly standard menu. Service was great. Nice place if your planning to go to Muir...More
After a hike up Mount Tam it was great to have a relaxing lunch at the Mountain Home Inn. We sat on the verandah and enjoyed amazing views. The staff were friendly and the food good, Alaskan cod and sweet potato fries.

Great things: gorgeous scenery, great spots to start hiking, super friendly staffs (including the chefs!), excellent foods for all meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner
Improvement required: The bedding linens could be cleaner.
I will definitely go back, but, seriously think about bringing along my own bedsheets.

Hello! Location is awesome! I was upgraded to a quieter room bc of a wedding at the time. I was not with wedding party! It was on bottom floor. Very last room at end of long hallway. It had deck, sunk in tub, FP, sitting room and amazing view! Most rooms do not have TV. This suite had large TV. Rustic yet very very nice! This place was an awesome find! Check out Bolinas and Stinson Beach nearby!
