See my title. Called the number after reading the reviews and some guy answered. He said the property had been sold about six years ago?!?! Am wondering what Natchez is really like if a property like this that was doing a great business was sold.

This place is the best!! Miss Betty and Miss Pamela made us feel so welcome. They are a true example of Southern hospitality! We stayed in the Gatekeeper's Cottage and our friends were in the Pigeonaire Cottage. The cottages were wonderfully stocked with snacks and drinks and the pool area was great (we so enjoyed the company of the dogs... More

We really loved our stay here. All was perfect. The atmosphere is serene in this private house next to the Mississippie River. Gatekeeper's Cottage is so beautiful. We found everything we needed and more luxery. Real privacy in this small house. And you can use the pool of the house next to it. Enjoyed it very much. Barbera took very... More

We stayed in Gatekeeper's Cottage for three days and thoroughly enjoyed every second. The cottage is under the hill, which means it's very near the Mississippi River. The views are beautiful and we enjoyed watching the barges pass by. Cottage is surrounded by huge live oak trees and has rocking chairs on the front porch. Guests receive coupons to Natchez... More

We spent a three day weekend over Easter 2014 and had one our best experiences ever while traveling. We stayed in The Pigeonaire cottage which is one of only two cottages on the grounds "Under The Hill". It is a detached, period building behind the main residence that is the ultimate in privacy. You are , in effect, staying in... More

The Gatekeeper's Cottage is absolutely the most amazing place for a couple to strengthen a relationship. Ms Barbara makes sure that everything you need is there plus! The view of The Mississippi River is spectacular from the screened in porch off of the kitchen/dining area and we even saw a beautiful deer in the pasture across from the cottage! We... More

We were travelling south in mid-October from the Chicago area. I cannot begin to say how much my husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Gatekeeper's Cottage. Barbara was so helpful and came out in the rain at night to greet us and help us settle in. The cottage felt like "home" right away with all the amenities you... More

My husband and I spent the week here in total bliss! Barbara, our hostess, was an absolute joy. The Gatekeepers Cottage was truly a home away from home. It was appointed with all the amenities we needed. There were several snacks, breakfast items, wine, cheese, various drinks.....We could not have asked for more. We will be back!

4 nights at Magnolia Vale were great! Close to downtown Natchez but high on the bluffs overlooking the mighty Mississippi River made it an excellent choice. The 2 cottages are confortable with full kitchens which were well stocked. A firepit with chairs offered a lovely spot to enjoy the river views. Natchez has a lot of offer and Magnolia Vale... More

What a great place to stay while touring in Natchez. Lovely cottages, well appointed, beautiful scenery. You almost don't want to leave this little piece of heaven by the Mississippi River. I know there are many lovely places to stay while visiting in Natchez, but this was the best choice for us. Both the cottages were well stocked with anything... More
