This is an old resort trapped in time..... Traveling with a group, we pulled into this resort after dark...we were checked in and sent on our way.....the lights in the area of our rooms wasn't even turned on. Once in our room the bathroom was failing part but the bed sheets were clean and pressed. The food is bland, with... More

Basic, good, lodging, which was a nice surprise. The food is under par, but what the heck - the 500' beach more than makes up for it. Free kayaking and catamaran, the horse rental is cheap with good horses, and because it's an all-inclusive, having a beach bar steps away is delightful!

This is an old resort hotel in need of renovation. Many fixtures in bathroom are falling apart. Takes forever to get lukewarm water. Right on the beach, but some ways away from town. Survived two days here. Not recommended.

Three nights here as part of a Cuban tour. Hotel is miles from anywhere with very shoddy rooms - for UK travellers think 1950s Butlins. I was lucky and didn't have to share my bed / room with cockroaches unlike fellow travellers though one did surprise me with my pants down in the bathroom. Food is best eaten in small... More

This is my second visit this year and was excited to meet old friends at the hotel, like Gerogina, Alex, Giesy, Jorge and the rest. Also you get to meet the regular tourists who come all the time to Rancho Luna, proving that this hotel is good place to come to. But I still read all the complaints, whining about... More

Since my last review, some time ago, not much has changed at Rancho Luna. True,GM is new, but the rest of the crew is the same. So, with the same people stay also bad habits. It was really disgusting to see the staff helping themselves to the smoked roast ham, before paying guests have been served. Not even started to... More

I've written about this hotel before but not since they changed ownership about 4 years ago. Not much has changed. The pool area, while nice, is now without shade as they have replaced the shade umbrellas with pergolas. Attractive but ineffective. The food in the main dining room is still the same; boring and repetitive. The beach area remains unchanged.... More

Cuban people are generally very friendly and this hotel has good staff. Food is typically Cuban, bland. It's on the beach, which is quite small. However, the price is generally agreeable for a economical (cheap) holiday.

This hotel club is mainly populated by expatriated Cubans. But hotel price is very low and the area is nice. The beach is wonderful. Very convenient stop not far from the city center. Taxi cost to Cienfuegos is 10-CUC and Cienfuegos is a nice little town for a one day visit.
