The scoop: our room had mosquitos in the shower upon our arrival. The cleaning staff had light fingers. Beef was impossible to cut (no steak knives either). One plus: the octopus/mermaid hybrid sculpture is a hoot. Stay here if there is no other lodging available.

the sea is in a sheltered bay and is like green soup - possibly contributed to by the prawn farm just round the corner. the cabins were shabby and grubby with an unpleasant feel about them. Food was OK by Cuban standards. Made to stand about for some time whilst checking in.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. The bad things are: - The food. The first night/day the hotel was almost fully booked (mostly tour groups). There was a buffet with ok food for diner and breakfast (at least we had many options). The other two nights we literally ate the left-overs from the first night which...

As part of a two day excursion from Cayo Coco to Trinidad/Santa Clara we were booked into this hotel which was a short drive from the beautiful city if Trinidad. The hotel is situated next to a small bay & can be seen in the distance as you pass the tall bridge. Check-in was swift & we were shown to...

We spent 1 night here as part of a tour, and that was 1 night too many. room was filthy and in need of a total refurb. I would not put my clothes in the horrible dank wardrobe. The bathroom was pretty dire too. The outside areas were no better and the balustade overlooking the beach was crumbling dangerously. The food...

As noted earlier. We did an overnight to Trinidad via Thomas Cook. Assumed we were stopping in Trinidad, but evidently not. The location of this hotel is OK, but it looked shabby. I suspect it is a Cuban holiday resort come motel "lonely Planet" type stopover. Entertainment was poor. A local who was doing the lying on glass thing and...

We stayed one night and enjoyed our time here. The room, while basic, offered everything we needed...air conditioning, a warm shower, soft bed, and a restful night. Upon arriving we went for a refreshing swim at the nearby sand beach. Lovely! Dinner was held in a dining room near the waters edge. It was very smoky inside so we sat...

We stopped at this hotel as part of a trip to Trinidad, organised through Thomas Cook. The hotel looks rather like a dated US style motel. It has a reception area and bar, a games room and a restaurant area looking out over the sea. The property is on a promontory and is surrounded on the sea side by a...

My wife and I stayed here for one night only, as part of a trip stopover on a bike tour run by Exodus Travels out of the UK. We ended up in one of the multi-unit building complexes, with our unit at the end on the second floor. We found the room to be fine but the view marginal despite...

We stayed a week here, intending a sunbathing-on-the-beach-plus-reading break. Sadly the weather was not up to it - lots of wind and rain ... very warm rain, but rain nonetheless! Our cabin was well enough equipped and right on the edge of the water, which did come in to meet us when the wind was in the right direction. The...
