We were in room 307. That's on the ground floor of one of the smaller buildings nearest to the building with reception, gift shop and dining. We had a great view of the Caribbean but were disappointed that the sliding door to our patio was screwed permanently closed. If you get a room on the second floor you'll have a...

The Faro Luna Hotel is located at the edge of the ocean. Spacious lobby and reception area. Excellent restaurant with very good food. The staff was friendly and helpful, however the guest rooms need improving. We didn't get to see much of the city because my traveling partner became ill. The hotel staff called an ambulance that took us to...

This seaside hotel is in a great spot (although there is not much else near it). Our room, which was adequate was 20 feet from the Caribbean. It has a beautiful pool area, an average lobby, and a decent restaurant, with a nice patio area. The staff was friendly and helpful One issue - our room had an ant infestation,...

For those that don't know, Faro Luna has a lesser quality sister hotel. After reading some reviews, I think some people rated the wrong hotel. This hotel needs lots of maintenance but not that bad. I had a non- working bathroom light but the room was otherwise comfortable. The oceanfront view was beautiful with beach nearby. I was touring during...

Said our tour leader last week. Our bus group stayed here for two nights as we explored the area. My room was the last on the ground floor in the building to the right. While there was a beautiful view of the Caribbean, there were no chairs on the first floor patios. My patio door had no latch, and the...

From the 3 star rating we were expecting an average hotel by Cuban standards. We were pleasantly surprised. We travelled on a tour and were there for only 2 nights which was disappointing. The room was large and clean. Beds comfortable. New quiet air conditioners were installed while we were there. Food was good. Pool was nice. We ate dinner...

We came to this hotel with a tour group and found the service to be very efficient. The staff was helpful and friendly. Our room overlooked the ocean and was very large with a deck. It was clean and tidy and the maid left cute towel creations on the bed. There was a new air conditioner. It could use new...

This hotel is now called the Grand Caribe. Located in Rancho Luna. It boasts a 5 star rating which is a joke. 3 stars is being generous. We stayed one night here only because everything else was full. Pros: 1. The hotel sits directly over looking the ocean which is pretty. However there is no beach access. 2. It has...

Surprised to read some reviews of rude staff. We stayed just two nights but all staff was wonderful. It is not a U.S. standard hotel but didn't expect that in Cuba. Make sure you ask for room with balcony overlooking sea. We so enjoyed that. Beautiful pool and nice little bar. You can work a short distance to the beach...

Was fairly disappointed with this hotel as it is very aged and obviously needs updating. Water was constantly leaking from our sink and we discovered at 1am after hearing odd noises outside that the sliding doors to the back deck did not lock. Not great for security as it's out in the middle of nowhere and we had a corner...
