My daughter and I booked a room at the Nipton Hotel, we were spending a couple days in Mojave, hiking all day. Although we were told there would be food available upon our return, there was no where (at all) to eat within a 20 mile range. The room was about 100 square feet with a bed just a bit...

We were all about hiking in Mojave and looking for desert tortoises in the Ivanpah Valley. The Hotel Nipton is the place to stay near Mojave National Preserve and Castle Mountain National Monument if you want to drive less and explore more. And what a cool little hotel it is. Five rooms and two shared bathrooms make this one of...

Thank you so much for giving us a thumb's up, Jim! We love our place too! We are at the northern entrance and a gateway community to the Mojave National. Nipton also has eco-cabins.

I loved this hotel for all its quirks and homey style. It does not have TV. It does not have a million people near it and local amenities are scant. Which makes it all the more awesome. It was great to unplug and listen to the dead silence (until a train came by). The mgmt was nice and welcoming. He...

Let me start by saying that we did not stay in the hotel part of this property. When I called to make reservations the manager made me aware of the possibility of EcoCabins, one of which would accommodate our group of four. I was quoted $90.90 for the night, with tax it would be $109.57. Sounded like a good deal,and...

arrived late night jan 26 2017 at nipton hotel, pretty cold outside, the sky full of sparkling stars and had a great stay in a simple but great small hotel..no its not a hotel really... the lobby and the room brings me back "to my weekend at grandma´s": its simple, old furniture but well kept, clean, comfortable and cozy.... and...quiet....

Stayed here two days while exploring Mojave National Preserve. Great place!!! Over 100 years old historic hotel that served the railroad/mining trade. Rooms are small but open on to a very spacious and comfortable common area with microwave, fridge, bottled water, coffee, tea, etc. You do share a couple baths but it was never a problem and they are right...

My wife and I spent a couple of nights here while visiting the Mojave National Preserve. We loved it. A unique, but very nice and comfortable motel. It is located. in the center of Nipton, CA. Just down the road is Searchlight, NV. Which is a somewhat unique town in its own right.

Something completely different. That sums up the HOTEL NIPTON. It's quaint and historic. It's unlike most other hotels and a good choice if you want an old style hotel. Nipton, California, population 6, is several miles off the I-15 near the Nevada border and the Mojave Nature Preserve. The Hotel Nipton was built in the early 1900's and the front...

My husband and I spent the week end at the lovely Nipton Hotel! What a wonderful place. We chose a room, as all of the cabins were occupied. The hotel is right on the edge of the Mojave Reserve. At first, I thought I might encounter a bunch of rednecks. Everyone was so kind and generous. We relaxed the entire...

This tiny hotel at the edge of the desert is an amazing treasure albeit in the need of some TLC. We found it a bit dark and dusty, with clusters of dead moths behind the window panes, a dusty collection of National Geographics from like the seventies, and an old sticky coffee maker that could definitely stand to be washed...
