I recently stayed a week at the Residence Inn while visiting Maui. The hotel is located about 1/2 mile away from the beach, back up towards the hills. The property & grounds are clean and well maintained. Staff was nice and welcoming. The room was clean & spacious, however numerous light bulbs were burned out in various places throughout the room. The property was probably only at 15-20% capacity due to COVID, so it was a ghost town. There is no restaurant on site, rather a very small (10’ x 15’) store where you can buy minimal items. I had the pool to myself most days with maybe 3-4 other small groups coming and going. The pool bar didn’t open until 3:00pm and the sun set at 5:30pm so that was a joke. Most days I visited the pool & pool bars at other hotels located on the beach, which were much more active, rather than hang out at my own isolated hotel. Overall I felt the daily rate for a hotel providing virtually no services and located so far off the beach for almost $400/night was absurd. I will most likely find another property during future visits to Maui. …
Great place to stay. The staff were great and very polite, the room was large and very clean, social distancing was present and mask were required!!! Nice pool, and views. The hotel is about 1 mile from the beach, but it you have a car, no problem! The restaurant & bar were closed due to COVID, but there are a couple of places in walking distance.
This property is bigger then most Residence Inn’s, it offers a putting green, basketball court and gas BBQ’S. We had a small issue with our room but Kaleo & Reid really helped us out. Our room was very clean and spacious. The kitchen is fully stocked coffee, tea etc. We had a great night’s sleep very comfortable beds. We had the pleasure of meeting Dora, she was very helpful also. Thank you Reid & Kaleo for making our staycation one to remember.
Sad to say we will never recommend this hotel to any of our friends and/or family staying here. We as locals were looking to come and enjoy a few nights stay. We were disrespected by Brandi, the hotel assistant manager, who told us “we could leave” if we didn’t like the new rate we were being charged (an extra $600). There was a misunderstanding with our rate and she did not care to communicate with us respectfully. We ended up paying full price, and checked out one night earlier than expected. I would not stay here even if it were free. No respect, intrusive staff, threatening to send security up to our room to see who is staying with us. And also saying they will WAKE THEM UP if they need to. I really have no idea how Brandi works front office considering what a poor communicator she is. But all is well. We live on a small island and thankfully there are MANY OTHER choices of places to stay. We will be sure to let everyone know.…
We went here for an overnight getaway for our anniversary. The place is clean and beautiful. When we checked in and asked about the breakfast they said they aren’t doing that right now because of Covid. I totally understand that a buffet would not be allowed, but since a breakfast inclusion was advertised on their website and on Priceline’s website it should have been part of what we paid for. It would have been right for them to offer either an upgrade or a voucher for snacks at their snack shop. Instead the front desk made it awkward when I brought it up. She just said “we are in a pandemic.”
