This hostal close to town is warm and welcoming. Hosts Abe and Nazir were very friendly and easy-going. We took our Spanish classes in the restaurant area so it was super convenient. The showers were always hot and the bed was comfortable. It was clean...More
Best value traveler's hostel we found on our trip! The breakfast is delicious, fresh, and filling. Endless coffee -- any time of day -- puts this accommodation right up near the top! Our hosts were very friendly and really went out of their way for...More

There are 3 or more buses per day directly to Mindo center from Ophelia bus station in the north of Quito. However I would recommend taking the ecovia (25 cents) which travels from the old town along 6 decembre to Rio Coco station, transfering to the large northstation (terreste norte) in Carcelen, and taking any bus going to the coast that will stop at top of hill near Mindo. Then take a taxi into town. There is always a bus leaving along this route with minimal wait, no worries about advance purchases or schedule, quick and easy.
