We spent a few wonderful nights at the Yellow House. We had breakfast each morning & enjoyed the view, the food & the hummingbirds. It was a quick walk to the main part of Mindo. I would love to return! Paradise on earth!

The Yellow House, or Hacienda San Vicente is a quaint little hostel or bed and breakfast about a 10 minute walk from the main drag in Mindo. This is okay though, it is only a $1.50 cab ride from the main area to Mindo, so not bad. The hospitality was amazing, it is in Spanish so be prepared to speak...

We spent the last week of Febr 2017 at haciënda San Vicente for bird watching activities and enjoyed our stay at this B&B very much. The natural environment at this place is very beautiful and the hostesses (three sisters) were very kind and helpfull and showed a great hospitality. Breakfast is overwhelming, so we can advice this location to anyone...

A five minute walk from the central square in Mindo leads to this huge property originally owned by the founder of Mindo. It is referred to as "The Yellow House & Trails" and is very affordable. There is history here in addition to the super friendly hacienda. I watched hummingbirds from their comfortable deck. There are also cabins. Open to...

Worth the six dollar per person fee to hike this property. Trails are well maintained and marked. There is a porch that you can enjoy many wonderful humming birds. The owners are very helpful. Trust their advice.

We recently spent 4 nights at the Yellow House/Hacienda San Vicente. My husband and I were travelling with our adult daughter, and we had 2 adjoining rooms, sharing the same bathroom. Very clean, comfortable, with great breakfasts served while enjoying the multitude of hummingbirds also having their breakfasts. Our daughter just moved to Quito, and she said that she would...

We stayed just one night here but had a great time. We stayed in the main building, and were the only people there that night. The staff was very friendly, the hikes from the property are plentiful, and there were minimal bugs.

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was one of the most relaxing places i have stayed. The yellow house its self is old on the outside but beautiful wooden floors on the inside. The lodging was very comfortable and anything you needed, the sisters were there to help. It is a short walk from town along a dirt...

The Garzon Jaramillo family is wondefully accommodating and the property is beautiful. Would definitely stay at Yellowhouse again the next time I pass through Mindo and reccommend it to anyone. It is a haven of birds and diversity and the trails offer easy day hikes. Breakfast is also delicious. Thank you! La familia Garzon Jaramillo es muy agradable y hospedoso...

Hacienda San Vincente (aka Yellow House) is a great choice in Mindo. It is far enough out to be away from the noise and feel like you are in the country, but still an easy (5-8 min) walk to town. The track is lit at night so we didn't need a torch (although one is good for night time wildlife...
