The chalet-style room was very comfortable and , although we hadn't booked a waterfront room, we were able to take our chairs and table out on to the grassed area in front of these as they weren't occupied on the 2 nights we were there. This meant that we could enjoy our evening drinks while watching a heron and listening...

A nice, chalet-style hotel; clean, furniture OK. Never enough hand towels in bathrooms in NZ. Strange set up in bathroom with shower behind door. Cramped vanity in bathroom. Good kitchen facilities if considering self-catering. Not much privacy in living room/bedroom with full length windows opening onto walking path/driveway. No breakfast included as we had virtually everywhere else in NZ as...

Great place to stay right in the town of Tairua. Rooms were clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable however no spare pillows or blankets in the room. A little tired. Check in and check out was very easy and lovely receptionist. Some small things that could be improved and have let them down: * having proper dishwashing liquid instead of...

Stayed in a waterfront cabin which was excellent. They provided electric blankets which we needed and which worked well. As for the internet we each received free vouchers for 400Mb of download over the three days of our stay which was fine for checking e-mails. I do think the management need to clarify online the actual position regarding the internet...

What a great little beach town! The Pacific Harbour Lodge was a true gem in this town. It wasn't flashy, but the cottages were cute, homey, and right there on the water. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and it had the whole beach rustic feel you would expect. Everything is in walking distance. It was winter so all was very...

We spent a week in a two-bedroom chalet. It was well set up for a family including everything necessary for self-catering. The beds were very comfortable, the lounge/dining was comfortable for sitting, reading, watching TV and eating meals. Parking is beside each chalet so easy to unpack the car. A one minute stroll took us to a variety of dining...

We were there for a work conference and had a cottage for 2 nights facing directly onto the water. It was clean and comfortable . King size bed was comfortable and nice view to wake up to. We didn't need to use the kitchenette other than to make tea but it seemed a bit basic if you intended to do...

We had our own little cottage in the front of the complex. The cottage had a TV, a sitting area, a kitchen, a bathroom and two bedrooms. It wasn't the most modern of places but gave you a warm inviting feeling. The rooms were clean and separated by the living area. The room had no laundry but the staff mentioned...

The location is great - it's right in the middle of the town and therefore very close to all the main shops. They also ran a bus service that picks up from the hotel and could take us to any of the main beaches without us having to go out of our way which was very useful. The rooms were...
