A great hotel to escape and relax. On the weekend we chose to getaway it was a little wet. This ensured we stayed indoors and took advantage of all the facilities of the hotel. We watvhed a movie at the cinema, we swam in the heated indoor pool and lazed in the lobby listening to the resident pianist.

Together with my wife, we first visited the Chateau 30 years ago during our honeymoon. At that time it was a Trust House Hotel training establishment; cosy and old world, formal and refined. A reminder of times gone by! In 2016 we stayed for four nights; seeing the best and worst of mountain weather in this time and many differing...

We only stayed one night as part of a tour. While the beds were far too soft for my liking the views and hiking trails around the hotel were great. There is a shorter loop of only a mile or 2 which we did. There is another longer loop which I did not take. There are camp grounds near by....

This is the third year in a row that we stayed in the Chateau during the winter time and although we missed the snow this time, it was again a fabulously relaxing time. The sentimental package is well worth the expense with great meals morning and night. Cannot wait till next year!

We selected the sentimental journey, so we're there for Sunday and Monday nights. We upgraded to have a spa bath, which was a great choice, and on the top floor. The room as very comfortable and spacious, with a view over the gold course and distant hills, the hotel lounge was very comfortable with the big fires and the grand...

We had stayed in the hotel twice before and had an unsuccessful booking as a family recently. We didn’t have much to do with the hotel service previously, but the recent experience is ratter unpleasant. The male staff I dealt with was rude and abrasive. He was more keen to lecture me about bed-sharing rule with children than offering any...

Spent a night at the Chateau with a group of friends. Beautiful scenery and a grand old building. Rooms clean. Restaurant very disappointing. Waited a long time for our meals, forgot orders. Meals poorly cooked and service disappointing.

We had read many of the reviews before or stay and read more just before leaving this one, so take this how you will given that we hadn't stayed here before and we were prepared to be somewhat underwhelmed. We loved our stay! Yes, it is pricey but we knew that going in. The room was definitely very nice and...

Had higher priced rooms this time which where very comfy, however the food in restraunt not that good for the price, more home style cooking which was lacking flavour, could of done it better myself, not at all what you would expect for this kind of establishment
