We stayed here on the 24h and 25th of March 2017. We were a party of four adults who wanted to do the Tongariro crossing on the 25th of March. We arrived on the 25th of March. It was late when we got to the holiday village. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. Yes we understood the...

We stayed for one night in one of the six-person cabins with 4 bunk beds and a double bed. The cabin was spacious and comfortable, furnished with a table and a desk. It was a short walk to the kitchen and shower facilities. We were able to park right outside. We arrived late and departed early to start our Tongariro...

We arrived with a pre-booked tent site and did not stay. There was no parking for tent sites, we had to move our car 3x in a 15 minute period because there were so many camper vans trying to get into their spots. They had very limited availability and too busy, packed tents in like sardines.

Very welcoming site, with helpful, friendly management. Great location among the trees, and a good shuttle for the Alpine Crossing. Free wifi, showers, hair dryers. Large kitchen and good laundry facilities. Several walks directly from site.

Since Whakapapa is the starting point of several tours through Tongariro National Park the Holiday Park seems to be always busy. However they provide plenty of showers and have a very big kitchen area. The park is pretty big so every campervan site is secluded and you have your privacy. During the night you can hear the river which adds...

A lovely forested campsite in the village. Great facilities with plenty of space in the bathrooms and kitchen. The sites are compact although very private because each is separated by trees. Efficient but officious lady on reception. A good small shop on site. Can organise transport through Roam to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Whakapapa is located in a stunning area...

Stayed one night in a powered campervan site. The sites are spacious and naturally divided with trees. The amenities are great, big kitchen and warm showers. Great base for exploring the national park.
