We stayed for one night on the trip from Picton to Christchurch. Our studio room was very comfortable, with a terrace outside to sit on. It felt more like staying in a private home than a motel. There are nice gardens surrounding the property. A communal kitchen was the one thing which was missing, as the only places to eat...

We loved the place - quiet, close to the center, nice garden. We loved the host - simpatic and friendly. The room was very comfortable. What is missing is a common kitchen where guests can prepare dinner and breakfast - As Murchison is a small village, guests are obliged to dine in the 2 or 3 restaurants, which are too...

I overnighted here on a motorcycle road trip. Bed was comfy, people were happy for me to park my bike under a tree, shower was good. Very close to main road but you wouldn't know it. Very quiet, with cicadas and birdsong.

Overall we had a pleasant stay here. We stayed in the Tui room which we found very well equipped with what we needed. The lady who greeted us wasn't overly friendly but professional enough I suppose. We would have appreciated a heads up that eftpos was not accepted as that meant another trip out to draw cash (credit card accepted...

This was a quiet place with beautiful gardens and plenty of space. Very clean with nice kitchen. It was a hop, skip and jump into town. The proprietor was very friendly and gave us some good tips for our time in the area.

I have to confess that I only booked this because I am a Whovian. Must say booking a motel simply because of its name paid off! We had our own little bungalow. 2 bedrooms, lounge, bathroom and kitchen. Easy 2 minute walk to pub for tea. Our first experience of NZ air raid sirens. Don't panic if you hear them,...

While quite small and cosy the studio unit had everything you need. Well priced, clean, a very friendly host. Have stayed overnight in Murchison previously and this was the best value for money. Would definitely recommend.

This is an excellent stop off bed for the night. Our unit was a self contained add-on to the owners home, and was super clean and comfortable. Shower was excellent. The garden was exquisite. Well priced accommodation. Free wifi was limited, but I bought more for a nominal charge. Murchison is like stepping back in time. Charming. Not a lot...

Beautiful place with well maintained gardens. Jenny the host was very helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable for a quick stop. Just wish the town had more to offer so we decided to stop at the Red Barn animal park the morning we left about 10klms from the town.

Beds were comfy and u it was very clean. Cabins in nice garden setting with owner just next door. Car is not directly with apartment, so...
