It was our 10th wedding anniversary & we were heading back to Christchurch. We wanted to stay in Lake Tekapo but unfortunately all accommodation had sold out. We had been through Omarama a few weeks ago & had the smorgasboard in the restaurant. (Good basic range of food for $30). So easy to over eat. We stayed in the spa...

We stayed in this remote hotel with beautiful scenic views for one night during our tour and had a few drinks in Happy Hour which we enjoyed outside of the bar before going our fellow travellers for dinner from the adequate tasty buffet. The breakfast was buffet and typical of all hotels Worldwide being plentiful but not home cooked full...

On the A20 we overnighted here. Rooms were small but comfortable. reception staff friendly and helpful. Complex has dining on site for both breakfast and dinner. These are buffet, all you can eat meals and good value. lots of varieties. One issue that needs to be addressed is the noise created by tourists arriving late in coaches in the evening...

Clean small and comfortable.the bathroom was basic but OK. The food was tasty but not sophisticated. The bed was very comfortable. No air-conditioning but a great choice for a road trip vacation. The staff were very polite and friendly.

This is more like a motel and suits people with own cars. Our group was scattered in several wings and we had to cross a large car park to go to the restaurant or Reception. The buffet restaurant has good variety of dishes but not exactly gourmet cooking: deep fried fish, stodgy lasagna, stewed meat and curry, boiled vegetables. The...

This Hotel clearly caters for large groups and tours. The rooms are simple and a lilltle outdated but clean, laundromats are available. Dinner and breakfast are "buffetstyle" and of good quality, just dont expect Haute Quisine. The dininghall is big and therefore a little noisy when full.

We stayed here one night on the move to the north. Friendly personel, nice room, clean and complete with fridge and thee and coffee corner. We didnt use the restaurant because of a large number of Asian guests. When we are around there we would surely go there again.

Motel style. We had a disabled room with a wet room shower. (A flat shower with a hole in the floor for a drain) Asked to change room but was told we couldn't as they were all booked out. The shower curtain was too small in height & width which meant even more water flooded the bathroom floor. Fridge was...
