Stayed in a room that caters for 2 adults and a child. It was very clean and very reasonably priced for the location. We arrived on the day before Easter and was expecting it to be more expensive than what I paid. The owner took us on a glow worm walk and gave us information about glow worms. The Easter...

Very conveniently located in the village of Franz Josef, with easy access to local restaurants, we enjoyed the Terrace Motel. It offered simple accommodation (immaculately clean and recently renovated) with en-suite bedrooms and kitchenettes, and access to washing machines to wash one's laundry. The drive to the Franz Josef Glacier was easy and the village itself was charming. Although the...

We stayed for two nights in the one bedroom spa suite. It was a fantastic choice - the suite was large and comfortable with two TVs, a separate toilet and bathroom with shower and spa. Given the poor weather, which meant some of our activities were cancelled, it was nice to stay in with the excellent heater. Wifi was pretty...

Awesome motel - well maintained, friendly, and great value. If I had to rank the 8 accommodations that we stayed at from our tour of SYD and NZ, The Terrace Motel would probably rank #2 and that's only after the Park Hyatt Sydney. Well done!

This motel is certainly one we would visit again. Well priced, very clean, good near new bed, and adequate supply of tea, coffee etc. Provided a great insight into what's available locally to entertain us or where to eat. They also provided a free 'glow worm' viewing that evening, just a five minute walk from the motel.

Stayed for 2 nights, was assigned room 16. It came with a living room, bedroom and a large toilet. Place was clean and bed was very comfortable. Conveniently situated at the heart of all activities. Value for money.

We stayed in a king studio room with a spa bath and thought is was a fantastic room. It was spacious and warm with plenty of heating in every room. The spa bath was a luxury and the shower was a good size too. It was nice to have a separate living room/kitchenette and we cooked breakfast there in the...

We spent two nights here in a king studio room which contained a small kitchenette which was ok for self catering continental breakfast, ie cereal, tea and toast. There is no sink in the kitchenette so you need to use the one in the bathroom. It is supplied however with toaster, crockery, cutlery, glassware, electric jug and tea and coffee...

My partner and I stayed for 2 nights while in Franz Josef. Right in the middle of town. Once checking in the room was really clean and fresh we paid extra for the mountain view room...
