Bernie greeted us with an umbrella as we arrived in the pouring rain and this set the tone for our 2 night stay. She is a delightful host and was full of suggestions as to what to visit/where to eat etc. Our room was spacious as was our bathroom - we enjoyed views of the mountains the following day when...

Standard room with nice spacious, charming bathroom. No Fridge in the room. We had a view of the Franz Josef Glacier. Very friendly and helpful hostess who also fetched Eva in the village when she had a pain in her knee and difficulties to walk. Went through everything that there was to do, had discount vouchers at some places. Offered...

We stayed here for two nights and received fantastic hospitality from the start.Bernie could not have done more.We had a great room with its own private balcony plus the use of another balcony from which you could see the mountain tops and sunsets. When we arrived we had a welcome glass of wine and nibbles and an introduction to the...

Somehow this B&B just misses the spot compared to other places we stayed in during our travels through New Zealand. The room we had was a good size, as was the bathroom, and "Bernie" the lady owner made us very welcome and gave us loads of local information and tips too. But the cooked breakfast was poor. My wife asked...

What a lovely comfortable B & B this is. Bernie was a most attentive and thoughtful hostess even giving us suggested stop off points for our onward journey. The accommodation is homely and comfortable and we so relaxed as soon as we stepped in. Would certainly recommend.

Bernie was a delightful host and Gerard provided us with an excellent cooked breakfast. The property is loaded with character and it is well worth reading the history in the compendium. Bernie did everything possible to make sure we enjoyed our stay. There was a thorough briefing on arrival on what to do in FJ and she even gave us...

Bernie was awesome and her husband, Gerard, is a wonderful cook for breakfast. The views from our room and joint balconies of the mountains were breathtaking. Also, going outside at night, we saw amazing views of the heavens, southern cross and milky way. Bernie was very helpful on making dinner reservations and helping with information on our side-trips. She also...

This great B&B is one of the best we came across during our month in NZ. We had the warmest of welcomes from Bernie, along with the aroma of freshly cooked bread. Our lovely suite had wonderful views from the balcony. Everything was spotless and there were home made goodies too. Bernie's extensive knowledge of the area was really helpful....

We booked this due to the good reviews on Trip Advisor, however, it was far better than expected. Before and after booking Bernie let us have a wealth of information and was extremely knowledgeable about all things to do nearby.Bernie helped us book the heli-hike in advance and got us a discount on this and also the kayaking we did...
