I stayed here for 3 nights in the backpacker dorms. As a backpacker, it was a nice surprise to find modern & clean bathrooms with hairdryers & GHD straighteners! We took advantage of the hot tub on a cloudy day & also joined in on the pizza night where you really get ALL YOU CAN EAT pizza. It's in a...

Amazing location, close to good strip of restaurants and glacier activity base. Stepping into Rainforest retreat is like stepping into a dense live in rain forest. A unique must do accommodation experience! Worth every penny....

Don't plan on doing laundry or using the kitchen! One of two washers didn't work and the dryer was constantly in use unless you hover over it you won't get your wet clothes in! 57 units and ONE washer and ONE dryer? Get it together please. Kitchen is tiny. Don't plan on getting any dishes done here either. I'd skip...

Hi Moewekind. Thank you for staying with us in your campervan. Its a shame that you feel the way you do about our awesome little holiday park. Usually we get told its the best holiday park of peoples travels. It is true that there are only 2 washing machines near the kitchen and i apologize if one was out of...

I loved the setting, amongst rainforest gardens and the hot tub but I wish the room had been bigger. We stayed in the Gecko section. Probabky ciuld do with a bit of shelter from rain, near the door, otherwise good.

Staff are helpful. Good location for walking and for restaurants in the town if you have had enough of cooking for yourself. Plenty of washing and drying facilities which were much needed during our stay. Nice to have the ability to book private sauna and jacuzzi.

Clean, well thought out accommodation. Close to shops and basic kitchen facilities that enabled us to make a simple meal and sit out on our decking with a glass of wine and lovely view. Reception and breakfast staff all freindly and helpful.

it was decent. like an average motel. The place also hosts backpackers and groups of younger travelers, which can be a bit distracting. But overall we were satisfied with our stay. Rooms are fine but not particularly homy.

The location and quality of the rooms and services provided was one of the best places i have stayed in New Zealand. Only minor is that they could have more First Aid equipment on reception because there are a few hikes that are quite slippery if it has rained so guests are bound to need this service regularly.

Hi Olib311 Thank you for the review, it is so nice to hear that we were one of the best places you stayed in all of NZ. I am sorry to hear you had a minor accident, fortunately its not a common occourance but just in case we do have a full first aid kit in reception, I hope you...

A lively complex with an array of travellers. We stayed in the Tree Top lodge, located under the natural canopy if native fauna. The lodge was immaculately clean with mod-cons. The grounds are pristine and nature takes pride of place. We had breakfast included which was a very lovely and my only comment would be was that it was very...

One of the best hostels that I have ever stayed in. They really understand what backpackers need and cater to everything and more. The beds are comfy with plenty of space. Have a brilliant bar and restaurant with specials on (which every backpacker wants, right?) Has a CLEAN hot tub as well, winning! Be stupid to stay anywhere else in...
