25th anniversary trip to the San Juan Islands and the Olympic Peninsula. What a treat! Accommodations were outstanding and Janet our host was wonderful. Superb breakfasts over looking the Strait of Juan de Fuca and perfect location for exploring Olympic National Park.

We were traveling on Rotary Club business, and I decided to give my wife a treat away from Holiday Inns. What a treat it was. Everything about the facility was top notch. Every little detail was covered in the best way possible. The bed sheets were incredible, and the breakfast was exceptional with the hostess willing to take care of... More

What an incredibly beautiful inn! Our entire experience was amazing. Janet welcomed us at the door and attended to our every need. The views were remarkable, the food divine and the ambience was perfect, especially for two history buffs. Our only complaint was having to leave. But, we will be back again. And, encourage our friends and family to spend... More

Location, room and hospitality were all great. Dan and Janet kindly upgraded us to the Presidents suite for no extra cost and the room was wonderful - the bed was huge! Prepare yourself for breakfast, lovely food and a different treat each morning. Highly recommended.

After the Revolutionary War, there were some that wanted to anoint George Washington as America's King. But he believed in the fledgling democracy, and gave up absolute power to preserve the idea laid forth in the constitution. True to that spirit, George Washington Inn is fit for a king, but hospitable to all. I've never experienced a better combination of... More

We took the Presidents and the Generals suites and enjoyed the space and quality. Janet's breakfasts and advice on where to go were excellent. We visited Neah Bay and Cape Flattery in the west, Port Townsend in the east and walks around Lake Crescent to the south west. We had a great time all round.

My mother and I just spent 2 nights at the George Washington Inn, and had an absolutely lovely experience. I was in the Surveyors Room, and she was in the Martha Washington Room. Both were beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. All of the rooms have access to views of the Straights of Juan de Fuca, so each room... More

From the moment of our arrival, Janet made us feel welcome. Our room was well-furnished, and I particularly loved the spa tub. The views are just wonderful, and the breakfast was exceptional. Would I return? Absolutely! So relaxing, and the countryside is just beautiful.

We were so excited for weekend holiday in the country. We take 1-2 weekend trips per month and love high end resorts FS Seattle, Fairmont, Alderbrook, and Suncadia. The George Washington inn was far less expensive and boy the statement " you get what you pay for "runs true. First complaint, the smell! A nursing home stench everywhere. We purchased... More

Dan A, Owner at George Washington Inn, responded to this review

A review such as this is very disheartening to B&B owners who make every possible effort to assure the complete satisfaction of every guest. It is also extremely hurtful to a housekeeping staff who work tirelessly every day to make the rooms immaculate and comfortable. In this review we have been accused of saying things we did not say and... More

What a PERFECT place to stay for several days and evenings! As we drove towards the Inn from Port Angeles, it looms in the Horizon and gets bigger and bigger the closer you get. Dan and Janet did a wonderful job in replicating George Washington’s Mt Vernon home. As you roll down the driveway, the first stop is the Lavender... More
