After arriving in Salt Lake City by Amtrak’s California Zephyr at 11:15 pm I had some consensus about reaching our hotel and checking in that late. We found a taxi waiting at the train station and less than 10 minutes later were checking in to the hotel. The Hyatt Place is within easy walking distance to restaurants, entertainment, Temple Square and all of downtown. If walking isn’t your thing, the light rail system is right across the street. The hotel was clean and accommodating. Breakfast is served as a buffet, not as the prepackaged, microwaved version many properties are using due to COVID. I recommend this place for the oversized rooms and great location.

I love Hyatt properties in general and am also their program member, and hence my expectations are high. This property, however, had a tired look with old style further and lighting. The breakfast could be better, particularly for vegetarians.

Thanks for taking the time to review our hotel. I wish we could offer a little more at breakfast, we are still limited with Covid restrictions. We replaced all soft goods in our rooms in the past year, our bathrooms and case goods will be done in the near future. I hope you can come back once that's completed, if not sooner. Sincerely Brandon

We really enjoyed our stay, the room was very modern and we especially loved the swivel TV that would spin to face either the couches or the bed. Everything was spotless and the staff were super friendly. Plus the workout room was clean and we loved the hot free breakfast. By luck we were walking distance to an awesome Saturday morning farmers market plus the Gateway (2 blocks away) had an art festival which was really cool and we bought some art. Total luck on location and accommodations. We will return!

This place was horrible. We had a one night stay in August for a flight the next morning (Aug 27th in Room 517). My daughter found a bug on the bed sheet in the morning. Then, I started to develop red itchy rashes all over my body at the airport. My skin was swollen around the bug bite marks. I called Hyatt after I came back home and they said they will start an investigation on this matter and will contact me in 72 hours. However, more than a week passed and I haven't received any response from them, not even a single apology word. This is not acceptable. My suggestion is to stay away from this hotel. It is not even close to Hyatt standard.

Good day, Regarding you claim, we responded the minuet we received it. My AGM called the phone number listed on your reservation multiple times and left you a voice mail. In fact I just tried and it goes to voicemail. We removed all bedding and moved all furniture and found zero evidence. The room has also been occupied every day since your stay and have had no issues with any guest. In addition if you found a live bug on the bed why wouldn't you contact the front desk? Please know I take your comments very seriously. I don't doubt you have bits on you body however they did not come from our hotel!

The hotel does not live up to the Hyatt reputation. I really expected a better class hotel. The employees did not enforce any health standards. Perhaps they thought the signs would suffice. But letting guests not wear masks and offering a buffet is not healthy at all.
