This was a great place to stay, we came here for a valentine weekend away from the kids for a couple days, staff was friendly and accommodating and the lobby feels like an actual lobby you want to hang out in. Coffee, Teas, Iced Coffee, board games, surf the internet are just a few to mention. The room was very...

Everything was clean, the staff friendly, and the rooms spacious. Breakfast was delicious and had an amazing view of the city with a mountain back drop. The convenience of the complimentary shuttle was a nice added benefit.

We stayed here for 3 nights over a weekend while a family member was having an operation at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. The guest house has a medical rate (and I believe another special rate for family of U of U students) which made it very reasonably priced. I was expecting a decent stay and was pleasantly surprised when they...

I have stayed at the U Guest House on an annual basis. The location is above the city with easy access to public transportation. The service at the check-in and at breakfast was great and the facility cleanliness can best be labeled as new. A top shelf choice if you are looking for a modest price.

This was our second stay. We appreciate the helpful staff and good WO facilities. The handicap room was a plus. (But the carpet needed professional cleaning in a few places.) The kitchenette would be much better if the sink were a bit larger.

Thank you for your review. The hotel has many remodeling projects scheduled this year and new carpet installation is currently underway. The King Suite Deluxe features a wet bar which includes a small sink, small stove, microwave, basic tableware and utensils. Our Kitchenette unit is smaller in size but offers a full kitchen for extended stays. Check out our website...

It was nice staying at a hotel that is not only convenient to the university, but you don't have to wait for the elevator. Every time I took the elevator it came directly to me without me having to wait for others to load/unload. To me, that's major.

My son and I traveled to Salt Lake City for a tour of the University of Utah. The University webstie had a few hotels with reduced rates for prospective students and we saw that one was right on campus. We chose the University Guest House which had a lower rate than most ($129) and was super convinent. We flew into...

My daughter and I stayed here for four nights while she was participating in flute auditions. The convenience of this place, along with the shuttle service and nearby TRAX system allowed us to get around without the need for a rental car. When it comes to sleeping, if you are sensitive to noise (being near the hospital and hearing occasional...

Our room was larger than I expected and very comfortable. We loved the breakfast options, especially as they changed from day to day, and the tea selection was superb! We enjoyed our stay immensely and would book again!
