Accessible #516 room at central hotel. We stayed in an accessible room with roll shower. Room was spacious & did have roll in shower. Location of bench & size of bench did not seem to be of optimal benefit. Restaurant is available in the hotel. Due to tour times which breakfast started at 6:00 a.m. instead of 6:30 a.m. The breakfast buffet wasn’t available during our stay. Restaurants & shopping is available nearby. My only issue was we could hear conversations in the next room. I’m not sure if the sound transferred easier because it was an adjoining room. Pool & jacuzzi were accessible with lift. Jacuzzi lining had some pitting. Gym seemed well equipped.
This is a standard Marriot, well located in downtown SLC. We were dismayed to find that mask wearing by employees is apparently voluntary. Most employees were unmasked. In addition we had a problem with the shower ( the handle fell off and we could not put it back on so the shower would operate). We called the front desk and they said they would send someone up in a few minutes. It never happened. When we called again, the clerk was defensive, not apologetic. So we left without a shower. Probably won’t stay here again, though we have been loyal Marriot customers for many years.
Excellent staff, everyone was friendly and had recommendations where to visit. The hotel was clean and nice use of space. We enjoyed the gym area also. In the middle of downtown. We enjoyed From Scratch shrimp scampi!
Used this hotel as a stopover on my way to Zion National park. Don't confuse this one with the hotel at City Creek. The hotel is close to many restaurants, clubs, shopping and other facilities. There is renovation going on. The main temple and city creek is in walking distance. Salt Lake City has wide streets and it is pretty flat. The room had amazing views of the snow capped mountains. It was easy to get a taxi from the hotel. The room was cleaned according to Covid standards. Getting from the airport is easy as it is a 15 minute ride away.
Stayed at this property twice recently and it's really hard to fault. There didn't appear to be a room upgrade for Ambassador Bonvoy status but my room was entirely sufficient for my short stays. Clean and comfortable. The executive lounge had snacks but was not open at the weekend. Breakfast buffet was fairly basic but suited my purposes and I left full. The service at breakfast by Marco was excellent both times. I put a special order in at the bar and it was granted with no fuss and I was charged fairly for the off menu dish. It was prepared quickly and I was happy. Location was excellent for my walk to Temple Square and the state house. Ride share pick up and drop off was easy with limited wait each time. Hotel was quiet at night and I had good sleep quality there. Whole heartedly recommend, especially for Bonvoy elite members.…
