Most hotels have a check-out time for 12 noon. The room attendants need to get in & clean the rooms for check-in at 3pm. If you need a late check-out, ask if they can accommodate. Sometimes they have a large number of guests checking in, so they may not. If they can't, you can always check-out & ask if they can hold your luggage till you leave. Pretty much all hotels are accommodating for this. It never hurts to ask.
