This has truly been a very strange experience. The hostel seems to be run by staff older with social and mental health challenges. I say this not at all in an ironic or an amusing way. I mean to say that some of the people who are in charge don't have the capacity to greet or interact with guests in...

DISHONEST STAFF! DONT STAY THERE!!! This hostel is extremely dishonest. They charge you money randomly on the card!! It took them 30 mins to check-in for me the first day when I arrived. I booked this horrible place 4 nights via booking.com for $189 but they charged me $198 on my card. I asked the hostel why they charged me...

Very few hostels balance themselves out with positives and negatives quite like this one does. Starting with the positives, it is affordable and in a quiet and lovely neighbourhood that is only a 15 minute walk to downtown and only 3 blocks away from the nearest supermarket. It also has a really spacious communal kitchen and lounge area with a...

I had a late check-in and when I called nearly 3 a.m. I expected to get a run of the mill but at the very least groggy desk clerk. Instead by the 2nd ring a quiet yet polote voice came across greeting me with, "thank you for calling the avenues hostel". From the moment of the conversation to my final...

My first day place in Slat Lake City which is convenient for you to get the first review of SLC. And you can use the Wifi and computer on first level. Cons are bad environment of living and poor light in your room.

This is probably the worst hostel I have ever stayed in, anywhere. The dorm room was filthy -- all the beds but mine were empty but had still had dirty linens from the previous guests. There was trash on the floor. The kitchen was disgusting -- food left out, crumbs and sticky spills on the counters and table. In the...

I stayed in room 5 which is private room with private bath. The room is a good size, but the window doesn´t open. You have to run the air conditioner to get air, and it faces the breezeway where people go to smoke, so the air conditioner pulls smoke into the room. The bed was very soft and the mattress...

Not to bad of a place for convenience. 20 min to Park City. Close to restaurants and bars. Cool neighborhood. Bring your own blankets and towel. Being a large building, more staff is needed to ensure proper cleaning.

The staff were super friendly! :) The rooms were clean but didn't get fully clean throughout my 5 night stay (vacuumed, mopped, change of linen etc). The beds are rock hard but otherwise I had nice quite sleeps. I got told by other people staying there that their are alot of hidden catches to obtain more money. Such as: at...
