When I have the opportunity, either for business or personal travel, to stay in Albuquerque, this spot is my go-to. Casa de Suenos is a compound of casitas which were originally built as an artists' colony. The location is hard to beat -- a two short blocks to the historic plaza of Albuquerque with San Felipe de Neri church, shopping...

What more could you really want? We arrived Christmas night, late, but were still given a warm and friendly welcome. Our room was spacious and nicely furnished with a kitchen. The bathroom had a free-standing shower over bath with surrounding curtain which was a little antiquated and didn't work so well. The breakfasts in the dining room were delicious, but...

Kind of a funky, fascinating place! We enjoyed our stay greatly, the included breakfast was a surprise for both its existence, quality and service. (The server/cook was a gem of a person.). Staff is helpful and friendly. We had the Zuni suite in a separate building, complete with fireplace to warm us and a huge mural by a local artist....

Spent NYE weekend at Casa de Suenos. My initial online search brought me to their humble abode because they were the only hotel in Albuquerque that listed in-room hot tubs for my romantic weekend get away. Though it is an older hotel/motel, it has been well maintained. It is a wedding destination with tons of quirky charm. From the garden...

I stayed here for seven nights and just loved this unique setting. It is an historic property with the structures dating back to the 1930s era. The casita I stayed in, Turquoise, was updated over the years, and retained the older vibe while providing modernized features such as an updated bathroom. Tile floors in the bedroom were beautiful. The casita...

Talk about atmospheric! I thought I had stepped back in time. This old cluster of individual casitas is perhaps the most charming place we've ever stayed. Buildings are Adobe; interior decor is with Native American and other Southwestern art. The casitas' rooms include kitchens, large living area with freshly laid wood burning fireplace, small office with roll top desk, two...

Excellent location, if you want to be close to the Old town. Nice decoration, good breakfast. Only be sure to go for it early, it starts at 7.30, one hour later it will be a very long waiting. We have had two different breakfast experiences, went at 8.30 and spent there an hour and half. Next morning everything was perfect....

KIva fireplace and beautiful handpainted wall mural in our casita; great gardens and unique sculptures; breakfasts cooked to order and owners and staff who made us feel like we were part of the place. It is more a cultural experience than luxury and adjacent to Old Town Albuquerque. We are eager to return.

I am guessing that this property was built to cater to Route 66 traffic; it is located just off Central Avenue (which was Route 66 through Albuquerque) and the architecture would be consistent. If you go there, be sure to check out the structure above the main entrance; it looks like some sort of giant alien Buck Rogers headgear. There...

You're going to Albuquerque. Great. It is incredible. And Casas de Suenos is the perfect, quirky match. One block from Old Town Plaza. Short drive to the zoo and botanical gardens (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.) The property is relaxing, gorgeous landscaping and courtyards with privacy, small back patio at each casita. I didn't mention the casitas. They are charming, early 20th century...
