Very decently priced B&B run by especially helpful and accommodating owners. Particular highlight: the scenic beachfront breakfast on the sunny porch (you can watch colourful geckos cleaning up the remainders of your guave juice 😀). Carl gave us priceless insights into the top local snorkeling...More

A quiet stop on the south highway with ocean view & accommodating hosts! The new owners have quickly achieved a lovely retreat. We stayed for four nights & greatly enjoyed the breakfasts & the service provided by the hosts.

Hi, can you tell me whether the private lanai for this room (Plumeria) faces the ocean? I can't find any pictures of the view from any of the private lanais. Thanks!

OK Thanks for contacting Us. All lanais face the ocean, the ocean is 2k away you can see it and hear the swells crashing but we are not beach side , between is land Bishop Kamehameha Heritage land, It is wild. The land has cattle on it and they pass by . There is a fence and rock fence,, there are also pigs , wild , which can be seen. There are sounds of country Hawaii, pigs, cows, birds , and sometimes chickens.. There is no golf course and no high raises.. The Lanai is private with a small refrigerator and people enjoy being their particularly in the evenings. Up stairs is the main Lanai where breakfast is served, people often come up to start gaze, we have torches and its a wonderful atmosphere. people use the free wifi and drink our local 100% kona coffee or have a tea or wine.. its wonderful.. We are South just into South Kona probably 20 miles. We are past the city of Kona and its Urban excitement ..down in coffee country and the National Park Place of Refuge, Captain Cook Monument and probably the best snorkle beaches in Hawaii frequented by Spinner Dolphins. People stay here for our activities local but also base camp for trips to Volcano and then North to Kona and Mauna Kea Astronomy complex. On the drive here to Hale Ho'ola B and B someone is always roasting coffee and the beautiful aroma mixed with flowers spreads over the countryside. We overlook the ocean and sit on ranchland we there are cattle and wild pigs, behind a fence of course , so on will hear moo moo and not honk honk here in the country. Come experience .. Carl and Elma
