I have to confess, I'm a left of centre, spiritually-minded, pro-compassion artist. So the Dragonfly Healing Ranch felt like home. The little pods in the trees that open themselves up to nature were the perfect combination of camping with modern convienences. This is not a hotel, it has an artsy, co-operative feel. My partner, 16month son, sister and her 5...

Staying at the Dragonfly Ranch is the closest thing to being a kid in your own tree house. My husband and I were there for three nights, and we felt like we were enjoying all the conveniences of modern life, while at the same time making believe that we were dwelling in our own little tropical jungle. Our room blended...

We stayed at the the Dragonfly in their Lomilomi suite for 2 nights at the start of our honeymoon. I was attracted to the Dragonfly because it sounded like a very creatively decorated place with some interesting ideals, a good environment to relax and slow down. Well, I would definitely give Dragonfly a good rating on the creativity scale. It...

Realizing that a honeymoon is a very important event, at the Dragonfly we do our utmost to make honeymoons special at the Dragonfly. I wish I could have done that for this Canadian couple. When the bride complained of pain due to her pregnancy, I did offer my assistance in a variety of ways...but nothing could fix the problem. Pain...

Simply put: As Barbara says on the website, read her rules and expectations BEFORE booking, or you shouldn't complain. We stayed on 25 and 26 December. The location is okay. Ocean views are pretty common in Hawaii, but we awoke on the first morning after landing and arriving very late (well over an hour drive on small roads from the...

During the holidays season, it is wise to book a car well in advance. Since we are in the country, being at the Dragonfly without transportation is never a good idea. Some have come and arranged for us to give guided tours of the ocean and trips to the market. But these lovely folks unfortunately went about their business without...

A friend had recommended the Dragonfly ranch and another resort on the other side of the island for my girlfriend and I. We were warned that,“The Dragonfly is not for everyone. It’s pretty rustic.” We reviewed both places and decided to book 3 nights at the Dragonfly and 6 nights at the other place. We received our confirmation from Barbara...

This place is great for nature lovers like myself. I really liked the little touches here and the staff is very friendly. Barbara was very good to us and gave us some advice on nutrition. I really liked the colorful geckos and the fact that the shower is outside. It's a fun touch with delicious smelling natural ingredient shampoo/conditioner and...

The Dragonfly Ranch is not just for nature lovers! I brought my 34 old nephew who is a city boy 100 % and to his suprise,he enjoyed his stay and stated how special his stay was ,as the owner [Barabara] and staff , were the warmest people he met in our 18 days in the islands.Aloha spirit is real there!...

Our first week was at a posh resort; our second week was at the Dagonfly Ranch. We wished we would have stayed at the Dragonfly for the entire time. It was the most unique and relaxing vacation experience of our life. We loved everything...Barbara (soul proprietor), the fascinating guests, the fun outdoor showers, the fabulous organic breakfasts, the breathtaking view,...

It was overpriced by about $100 per night. There were "private" outdoor showers promised on the website. One of the workers was doing yard work in clear view me taking a shower. The outdoor tub did not have a cover, and was not cleaned out daily, so if your idea of vacation is cleaning a bathroom, Dragonfly is the place...

I regret that these guests did not come to me and tell me of their discontent as it is my policy to make sure that everyone who stays at the Dragonfly feels happy with what they get. I know of no B&B that provides massage as part of the lodging price. No where do we claim to have dolphins at...

Reviewer: Eszter Lesko, Hungary We were on a week-end excursion and we had no time to reserve any hotel in advance. When we went to the beach, we have already spotted this unique gate with the small angel hanging above and it was so attractive that on the way back we just simply turned into the garden. It was just...
