This place was just plain fun to stay at. Just loved the deliberate retro feel. Honestly, it felt like going back in time when my parents drove us around the country or when some of the beach movies were made. Very clean, good rate, friendly staff -- like totally cool, daddio.

We called late to see if they had availability and they did. We felt like we stepped back into time when we arrived. The receptionist was very accommodating and we could not believe how large the room was. Nice and clean and very retro-which was actually a fun change from the standard hotels we had been staying in. The hotel...

My Husband & I stayed here on a road trip through California. A coworker had suggested the place stating "Amazing woodwork, feels like you stepped back into the late 50's, huge rooms, small bathrooms, no amenities, but very clean and great location." She was right on all accounts. The old decor made it feel like you went back in time....

On a whim we decided to take the kids to the ocean for the day. However, along the way we decided to hit up the drive-in movie theater (Red's Crescent Drive-In) which meant we wouldn't get back home that night so we called the hotel to see if they had a suite available that would fit us all (4 kids,...

This is an old property, which could be great, if it would get a renovation. The location is convenient right on highway 101 and just a 10 minute walk from the harbor. The rooms are clean and big, but the interior is pretty outdated. If you have some time, I would recommend you to visit Stout Grove and the mouth...

Unique place. Apparently made from one redwood. Everything but the carpet and paint seemed quite dated but in good shape. Think keyed entry, pink tile tub walls, 70s? furniture, etc. Sheets weren't fitted. Very clean. Price was right. covered parking a plus. I'd stay there again.

You won't find a better deal in Crescent City. No hair dryers or shampoo in the rooms but the front desk will give you a hair dryer if you ask. The walls are fairly thin but the rooms are spacious. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We'd stay here again. It doesn't cost a lot so don't expect a...

I would have given this place a better rating (at least an "average") if it hadn't been for a very negative experience we had with one of the employees. I've wanted to check Curly Redwood out for ages...I like motels that don't fall into the cookie-cutter mode of modern chain motels, and I was intrigued by the idea that an...

This retro decor motel meet our needs for comfort and cleanliness. The rooms are large and are close to local restaurants ~ we chose the Chart Room & it was delicious.  I would highly recommend this for travelers looking for a good night sleep for a decent price.
