On our road trip we stopped in Crescent City before the Redwood Forests. The motel was almost full and reached no vacancy shortly after our check-in. The motel allows pets in some rooms. Ours was a non-smoking room with basic amenities, lacking fridge. The walls and ceiling were not well insulated for sound so crying babies next door and stomping...

Room 114. The bed was the most disgusting thing I've ever slept on. Had springs hitting us in the back and was lumpy. I looked at the mattress before I left and it was filthy, had holes all along the side and the springs were sticking out. Actually looked like someone picked it up in an alley. Room 115. Was...

We've stayed at a couple hotels in town and this one was cleaner and felt safer. It is also very conveniently located. We walked to the Chinese restaurant for a nice meal and to Walgreens for a couple of items. It was nice to stretch our legs after long car ride. Be sure to check out the beaches north of...

First I will say the staff was very kind and accommodating our late arrival. That was and is the only good thing about this place. The bed was terrible. Before you laid on it you knew you rolling to the center. The carpet was nasty. I could here snoring from the room above me clear as day. The toilet made...

Dirty room, smelled of urine. Bedding was extremely worn out, found green particles on the pillows. Went to Wal-Mart and bought blankets and pillows. Loud obnoxious people all night wandering in and out of rooms. They turn off the refrigerator after each stay, makes them pointless. Pool was green. A $30 motel for a $100 price is a rip off....

We first stayed in this motel about 16 years ago and somehow were able to find it again . Nice indoor pool , clean comfortable room , friendly staff . Its super close to a shopping mall with a Safeway store and other restaurants . I love this part of California , its moves real slow and is so quiet...

Then One window was full of cigarette ashes the other full...

Stopped at the penny saver inn for one night after a full day of driving. We weren't expecting much but the room was terrible. An old run down motel room with mould in the shower, dirty sheets and a weird smell. Was way overpriced (we paid around $80). Would never stay here again.

When we booked thru booking.com we were specifically looking for a hotel with a/c. According to the information on the booking.com site the Penny Saver Inns had a/c. We were quite dismayed when we got into our room to find that Penny Saver Inns does not have a/c. The manager Julie was beyond rude. She seemed quite angry that my...
