This motel was decent. It had an ocean view, it was pretty clean, within walking distance to a few stores, restaurants, the city park and the visitors center. There was a slight sewage smell coming from somewhere. Sometimes it was strong and sometimes faint. We always take scented candles with us so we just lit one. I will stay here... More

We stayed for on night in one of the oceanview rooms. It was rather large and clean. The view is kind of nice and the surrounding area isn't fancy, but we easily found nice places to eat. Our only problem was a continous kind of beacon sound beeping through the window every ten seconds through the night. It was kind... More

At the end of a long day on the road, I made a casual pre inspection of our room and signed in for the night, but I didn't look close enough. My bad! The location was handy, but a little suspect. Rooms at competitive rates seemed to be filling up and this was the 3rd place I looked at. I... More

I don't know why people complain about this place. The hotel is close to the beach, the owners are amazing and friendly, and it's an incredibly affordable hotel. Yeah its a little old and needs updating, but it was clean and hospitable and you can't beat the price. Worked great for our stay to visit the ocean and the redwoods.... More

Room was very clean with clean linen and towels and hot water. Micro/fridge, coffee maker, comfortable bed, pillows not so great. Free wifi (at registration I was told reception not good in this town). It did cut me off a few times. Parking lot not big enough to hold all the cars. Overflow has to go into a parking garage... At $77 for a queen, this place is still not a good deal. Although a convenient walk to the lighthouse, Seaquake brewpub and Enoteca, the room is along the road with LOTS of street noise and the location is "divey." Other guests this place attracts seem to have no consideration for others. Loud voices, repeatedly slamming car doors, and revving... More

Got room with a ocean view. 90$ wasn't bad but the room was dirty. The bed was uncomfortable and screeched every time I moved. There was no AC so we had to sleep with the windows open. Unfortunately the area is full of drunken bums laughing and fighting between the hours of 1am to 6am. (This was a random tuesday... More

Yes, we returned for our third stay here since 2013. I have written a review then and happily revisiting this low-budget motel. We called and booked directly with the owner and received some discount on the family suite with ocean view upstairs, the same one we had in 2013. The location and the view made up for the simple, basic,... More

Room was clean but dumpy, has not seen an improvement in years. Mattress made sounds when you sat on it, shampoo and hair conditioner in tiny envelopes just like the soap, one thin bath towel, no hair dryer, fuzzy TV picture, toilet wobbled, bath faucet leaked. All this for $70 per night. Following night paid $75 elsewhere and it had... More

Standard, budget motel close to the national park, fine for a stay. We stayed 1 night and would stay again. Basic motel accommodations with older decor, we had problems with our tv and it was immediately fixed. Very quiet, we could not hear our neighbours or any street noise. We got a deal online. Friendly reception with easy check in/out.... More
