The room we had was perfect for 2 people. We wanted a lodge feel, w/o the lodge price. Though the hotel looks a little dingy on the outside, the inside was kept very clean and recently remodeled. Many very convenient amenities including a deck with...More
We were looking for a last-minute stay near Rocky Mountain National Park and happened across the Fawn Valley Inn, not knowing anything about it. The room was great: Jacuzzi, fireplace, clean well-equipped kitchen, fantastic mountain view from the deck, DVD player with huge free selection...More
We stayed 4 nights here in June 2010. From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but the lobby/office area and the condo we stayed in in a separate building (#271) were very nice. This is obviously an old hotel/condos that have been remodeled--at least...More
Just spent two nights and was very disappointed with the Fawn Valley Inn and left feeling extremely ripped off. The pictures you see on-line are taken at the utmost appealing angle because the reality is the place is a unmaintained dump. The carpeting is filthy...More

Rooms 295 296 and 297 don't have their own grill on patio..unless it's warm weather, the available grills for those rooms are far enough away from the rooms out in the open parking lot, that it's not likely you'd use them in anything besides warm weather...if there's sheltered ones for cold or rainy stays, I didn't see them..when it's warm, their location seems fine...unfortunately it was way too cold during our recent stay to be out in the open parking lot grilling without being able to step inside at all while food cooks, so no grilling for us while there...if a grill is important to you, make sure to ask, because I don't know if those 3 rooms are the only ones without their own private grill..
